I love it when people open up like this, and I'm kind of surprised this is in Random. What Katawa Shoujo means to me is a little different then what it means to you, as I am mostly normal physically and mentally (least that's what they tell me), BUT how I see this game is that it shows that people do not have to be defined by their disabilities, they should be defined by who they are as a person. To somewhat contradict that point, when I was in 7th grade I had a massive crush on a girl named Hannah, she was really cute, outgoing, fun to be with, just all around a great person. Her and her sister were born conjoined at the hip and as a result they both lost a leg and had to wear prosthetic. Mind you this was back in middle school, aka the worst years of your life, and everyone is a jerk to everyone else if they are slightly different from them, but I didn't care, I really liked this girl and that's when I realized "Oh she's not just somebody with a disability, she's a person who thinks and feels like me." Well anyway that's really how I see this game and why it does somewhat appeal to me more then to some other people.

this was my first game, well I guess that's what I get for not checking BUT IT'S OKAY BECAUSE HANAKO IS STILL AVAILABLE... nvm if it's not Rin I don't want any of them... oh well better luck next time.

I just found out about this game a few days ago so I feel like I missed out a little but at least now I can play it, or at least I could if they got the DDL links back up, oh well I can still play the demo, also RIN'S MINE so back off.

That part made me cry, but I did say it was pretty serious but still had some of the best comedy.

This wouldn't have anything to do with why you're asking? Anyway, I personally like dubs, good dubs anyway, if a show has a good dub that's how I'll watch it (Cowboy Bebop, Baccano) if the dubs just okay I'll still probably watch it (FLCL, Evangelion), but if the dub is... lacking I'll just go for sub (Higurashi,Elden Lied). Also if I'm reading subs all the time I feel like I'm missing something. Dubbing companies have been putting out pretty damn good dub in recent years so I really don't see the problem anymore, I also love when a show I watched in Japanese gets a dub, seeing other peoples take on the characters is something I love.
