For me, fictional death symbolizes not physical death and decay, but the death of the ego. Same as with rape, the humiliation and suffering is a symbol of humans being in the progress of spiritual liberation.

I used to be in the RM2K scene until a few years ago. Was one of the first guys to ever start doing it, but I never finished anything.
I was usually good at scripting and all the technical stuff while I was bad at gfx.
