Swimming's good for when you're injured, right?Maybe take that up: it eases the weight but you still get to work out.
Just to add onto this comment: Not right off the bat after an injury though. Maybe when he gains some sort of mobility in his shoulder he should go for it but right now no, I wouldn't recommend that he go swimming after his injury.
