I think it's a given that most of the numbers people have poster are bs. From my understanding, <75 is considered retarded, 100 is average and >140 is genius. The IQ is just meant to be an example of intelligence in the sense of how easily you learn, not how much you know. Theoretically it shouldn't change throughout your life. And yeah, IQ tests aren't exactly perfect, they suffer many of the same problems you see with any other standardized test.
I've taken a number of different IQ tests, consistently got 135 give or take 3 points depending on the test.
Now we're talking sense. I took an official IQ test when I was 10 and got a score of 141. Apparently the older you are, the more answers you have to get right to maintain the same score, which makes sense since you learn more as you get older.
I burst out laughing when I read "My IQ is 190"... you would be on the newspapers for that.
Are you guys being serious here? You do realise that only 1% of the population have IQs above 135, and less than 0.01% have IQs above 156. I sense some lying going on here... ><
Anyway, I won't reveal my IQ, since if I compared to you guys honestly I'm definitely below average. I'll just say that my GPA at university is 4.0 (yes, straight As. People think I'm crazy for it), and I already have above 50 credits, which translates to over 200 quality points. I'm also in the university swim team, speak 5 languages (7 if each Chinese dialect counts as a separate language), participate in drama productions, and have given a few high-level piano recitals in my lifetime.
I've always thought that IQ is a totally unreliable measurement of intelligence. It reminds me of SATs (which is probably the dumbest kind of test ever created). It can't measure other forms of intelligence such as linguistic ability, "street smarts" or procedural knowledge.
