Fakku doesn't have license to the removed content, hence the removal. That's like Crunchyroll uploading anime episodes that they don't have license to or STEAM having a dedicated torrent section for games that they don't have license to sell.

Everything in Fakku now is LEGAL.


Actually having these content on site, while trying to be Legal Will actually kill Fakku faster than people not paying for the site.

a DMCA will kill Fakku faster than fakku getting losses monthly.

First and foremost Fakku has no rights and licenses to those "removed content", they were Illegal for Fakku to have on site.

Second you're not paying for those removed content, the subs are for chapters published in Comic Kairakuten and Comic Eros by Wani Magazine, that Fakku has license to sell.

Without referring to the content being unlicensed hence Illegal for Fakku to have on site, while trying to be Legal.

First and foremost, Most of those content wasn't uploaded or worked by Fakku themselves. Hence creating all kinds of hoops Fakku has to do to keep them in the site. It's much easier for Fakku to remove them completely and have the authors themselves confirm that they want it.

and Second, Some of those are chapters from competitors Magazines of the sole publisher that fakku is currently partnered with.

These are all moot if we refer them back as being Illegal.
As if Fakku did that, it will be Like Steam if they had a free torrent section filled with games that they don't have license to sell. Or Crunchyroll having anime episodes uploaded without their licenses.

Well, looks like someone is trying to sound smart when they don't know anything about running this kind of business.

First and foremost, Scanlations are Illegal.
You can't sell legit stuff side by side with Illegal stuff, that's Hypocrisy.
Try asking 2008 Crunchy Roll when they were still allowing people to upload fansubs to the site despite having received a huge capital investment. 2009 is when they've cleared all the unlicensed stuff.

There's no running around the bush for that topic. Heck, some of us are still surprised that Wani Magazine gave Fakku Publishing Rights, while other companies would have just shut down fakku with more DMCAs.

Also about removing "Unlicensed Content", It just shows that Fakku is SERIOUS to everyone.

Why should fakku be worried about people abandoning fakku, when those people won't even pay a cent, when the mentality is still "I won't pay for Porn". Heck, you don't need to talk about FAkku, when was the last time you donated to a scanlation group? when was the last time you read through the credits page of a scanlation team responsible for your "free content"?

Also small library? 300 titles is huge for a Start Up Business. Do you expect to have 5000 titles ready? Get Real. You probably won't even read more than 10 each fap session, assuming you don't care about the content of each works.
They have a very limited team, getting 300 titles after 7 months is actually fast, as you get roughly 42 titles each month. Keep in mind that Fakku is SimulPublishing. You get something better than the ones they get in Japan (Being uncensored)

Scanlations were removed because they were illegal. You can't run a legit selling business while still operating as a piracy site. Go Ask 2008 CrunchyRoll the experience of being legit while still uploading unlicensed fansubs.




So would you import their manga and magazines instead? They still need to be paid. Heck, despite the knee-jerk reaction, people still doesn't give proper credit to scanlations even when they have to pay the cost of getting the raws, hiring page cleaners, translators and editors for each chapter.

How much money have you donated to a scanlation group?

That doesn't make scanlations and Fakku's past suddenly legal.

Singers and actors also make millions but that doesn't automatically mean it's legal to download their songs and movies just because they're rich and won't feel losing money.

Yes, CR is the accepted argument for comparing to Fakku, but there's a huge difference on why Fakku can't have "free Licensed content" immediately. It doesn't have the same kind of capital backing that CR had at 2009, when CR decided when it would remove all unlicensed content from their site.
BUT, Comparing the anime section of CR is not exactly correct as CrunchyRoll Manga can only be accessed with Premium account (You can only read the 1st chapter of each manga if you use free account), which would be the "Free Model" that Fakku will adapt in the future.
