I think it should be mix between the two. For example I had no idea bakunyuu meant huge tits before you mentioned it. But words like booty should be changed into big ass and inseki should be incest.

I've been hearing a lot of backlash regarding the new mechanics such as Rage Arts (I personally only use Rage Drives because they're more useful in rank matches). People say Tekken is trying to be like Street fighter now.
I wouldn't say a lot of backlash. Some people have complained but I think people are used to it now. The game has been out for nearly 2 years. Rage drives are also more useful as you say, you can use them in combos more effectively and they are safe on block.
