If you love monogatari you will love the movies. Personally I think they get better after each one with the third and last movie being the best of them. I hope you will like them :DYeah part 3 was the best out of all of them. The pacing was different from what I imagined it to be.
Overall Kizumonogatari didn't live up to the unreachable anticipation but I think it did a good job overall. Definitely a worthy title among the Monogatari catalogue.

I understand adding new tags early so that they can develop into larger categories later on. I also don't have a problem with having a tag that has few chapters. All of the tags you mentioned should be there because there's a clear fetish that supports it. They also have nothing in common. What you want to do is to divide an already small category of chapters.
But this is up to the staff to decide whether they want more diluted tags or less larger ones. My suggestion would be to maybe implement sub categories within a large one. So everything that's tagged Demon girl is also tagged monster girl and if you click on the monster girl tag, you'll see all the subcategories as well.

Catching up with:
Hajime no Ippo (ch. 300)
So far I'm impressed with the pacing of it. The matches doesn't feel too long and the downtime doesn't feel short either. My only and biggest complaint is that Ippo isn't fighting for anything but his love of boxing. That has already made him lose once so I hope it can find it.
Kotonoba Drive (ch. 5)
Exactly what I expected from the mangaka behind Yokohama. Really comfy, a nice change of pace between Ippo's fights.
Ranma 1/2 (ch. 80)
It feels like nothing is happening but I still enjoy Ranma fooling around with everyone. He's also pretty cute.

Fan translation are still lagging behind by quite a lot. 150 out of 400 chapters translated. But I really like Maeda's personality and his fights are badass. It has some soap opera moments in it that I really shrug off but luckily it doesn't spend too much time with it.

Biggest surprise from all I've read since I found it by accident. It has high tension all the time and the art gets really twisted and dark. Obligatory: "I want to protect that smile" factor too.

I really like the character designs in the manga and the Major's personality is also cute. Don't expect this to be anything like the movie, it has some of the plot details but the spirit is all wrong.

I honestly hate how Masamune Shirow artstyle developed. I hate the photo realism skin.

Short Saw-like story about a murderer. Twist is kinda predictable but it was alright.
King of Thorns
It isn't great but I really enjoyed reading it. I'd compare this to a well made popcorn movie.

I know what Jojo is. I'm going wait a little longer until I finish it. I asked a few mates if I should catch up with either Jojo, One Piece or Ippo. And I decided to go with Ippo. Right now I'm at chapter 180 out of 1164 total. The reason I only pick one is that I don't want to burn through everything that I know I will enjoy.
