This game is hard as hell! Those freaking four brothers of Africa-japan (or whatever it is called) are just too much!
Each one has over 6000 units damn it!
It is like fighting against 4 tokugawas...in the same turn!
Tell me please. Did I do something wrong?
I have 27 commanders and around 13000 units but...hell...I just can't.

Okay, another general question here. Is it possible to sit back and level up like in most RPGs? I've gotten to a point where there are only 4 enemy countries left, and I absolutely cannot take the last building in the bottleneck country. If I farm satisfaction and gold for a while, will I be able to beat them eventually, or will they grow at a comparable (or faster?) rate as me?
Edit: So I've run up another 10 turns or so, still can't beat the bastards yet, but they don't seem to be getting any stronger. So that's good. Any long-term time limits I need to worry about?
Next Question, does anyone know where I could find an explanation of the hidden battle mechanics in this game? Like why does a 3:2 advantage sometimes decimate your target, but other times it's barely a scratch? (this is most noticable with ninja shurikens, and no, the answer is not just guards being up)
Edit 2: Looks like I need to pay more attention to those little arrows.
Edit 3: Nope, definitely more going on there than just buffs, especially against youkai.

Quick reality check on the difficulty, because if I have to start over, I'd prefer to do it sooner than later...

well, the repeating text hook, is usually solved by using an "H code", that you insert in the target shortcut. problem is for every game, they have a different "H Code", so better start searching and asking.redpanther, do you know the command line I should be using here?
hmm, about the auto clipboard copy, try lowering the number to make it faster. find the right one that you prefer. (and remember to check "Automatic clipboard Translation")
Okay, I found the problem- I was not expecting that atlas menu shown in the pic to be part of the system tray. The atlas help file was annoying too- the search function failed me so I had to go back to the index, which actually led me in the right direction.
Thanks for the help.
So I'm trying to use AGTH and I'm about to give up here. Firstly it's not hooking properly most of the time. It'll hook the text, but it'll grab the phrase and then repeat it some random number of times, like so...

Second, I can't get atlas clipboard to automatically refresh. It'll do the translation from clipboard properly the first time I open it, but I have to repaste and hit the translate button every single time. I'm using atlas 14, so the settigns are different than atlas 11, which is listed in the tutorial.
With respect to this tutorial image:

GetGlyphOutline is not an option in AGTH; rather I have three memory locations associated with TextOutA, one of which has no real output and there doesn't seem to be a noticable difference between the other two.
As for atlas, the drag down menu from right clicking the clipboard translation Doesn't have any of the functional atlas settings, jsut copy/past etc and some dictionary configurations.

Futari Ecchi is pretty entertaining. I read through chapter 98 or so where the scanlations stopped a few months ago- haven't gotten back to it. There's also a 4ep OVA that covers the same kind of concepts as the manga, but doesn't directly draw from any of the manga plotline. It's localized as "Step Up Love Story".
Also, I'd outright call FE softcore hentai. For example... http://www.mangafox.com/manga/futari_ecchi/c033/18.html there's no was anyone wouldn't classify a scene like that as pornography. The only reason why it's not is because it's published in Young Animal, which is a Seinen magazine, opposed to an adult magazine. It's kind of funny that it gets by as "ecchi" whereas My Lovely Ghost Kana is less explicit, but that's "hentai".

Well, thanks for the feedback guys. I'm sadly limited to my english native tongue.
I was actually pretty happy with Yin-Yang Xchange Alternative. It was really h-heavy, but the scenes were generally used to good effect and didn't interfere with the storyline- at least in the plotlines where there was some actual romance involved. A couple of the plotlines were good enough they would work without the sex. I'll probably be checking out the rest of the series eventually.
Is that available in English? I was looking around for it and didn't see it in the user upload section, and one of the few google results I found was the gamefaqs data sheet, which only mentioned a JP release.
Also what's with AGTH? From what I could gather it's a text extraction tool- does the game not properly display text or something? Or are you using it to run the text through a computerized translator?

Let's me elaborate my love for Yami No Koe then..

I'm referring to in
Chapter 1: Main character catches a glimpse of two classmates going at it during the overnight right before the cultural festival.
Chapter 2: Main character is rooming at the loft of the guy from that other band. He wakes up to find his benefactors having sex.
Not that I have real issue with this, but I really wonder why they're even brought up if the reader's not going to see what's going on since they don't serve much plot function.

Definitely the best slice of life VN I've played... not that I've played a whole lot of them.
I've only played through one of the paths thus far, Kirari
One slight thing that irked me... why in the hell were there two potential h-scenes where nothing is shown? I've always thought that showing friends of the main characters having sex would be a good way to put erotic content without detracting from the main romantic development. Here they set that thing up, but didn't follow through.

That's Angela's Emblem you're missing- the one with flames and dragons on it. You probably just didn't finish one of your playthroughs- I know they can get really tedious... on the plus side once you do fully finish all of the girls you get one brief bonus scene.
you need to in order to unlock some bonus content, but even it weren't the case, you want to see the bad ends because of the tiger dojo commmentary.
Yeah... the thing about the quantity route is there's usually only one or two girls that I'm even interested in to begin with; I'll end up playing the other girls routes just so I can unlock the harem route so I get more content with the girl I liked in the first place.
I feel like it's bad form to keep on referencing my own post, but I suspect this list will have a lot of what you're looking for....

Hmm, perhaps I could rephrase that in less general terms.
I want a game with a strong plot and/or memorable characters- and preferably averaging at least one h-scene per two hours of gameplay. The sci-fi thing was more of a side comment than anything else, though I would play a sci-fi game even if it had only token h-scenes. I've been contemplating Chaos; HEAD, but I don't know how enjoyable that would be, given that it's a murder/mystery story that's already been spoilered from watching the anime.
I know I list some awesome contradictory examples. I found "Saya no Uta" fascinating, but the "Bible Black" animated series was disgusting (it was kinda cool until they decide to rape his childhood friend). School Days... that anime left me with mental scars worse than anything else I've ever seen, that still makes me rage when I think about it 4 months after having watched it. I think what it boils down to is whether or not the characters have some basic sense of decency. The lead of Saya no Uta is still capable of kindness and compassion, it's just his reference frame is warped.

I was debating posting this here or in the request section, but opted to do it here since it could spawn some interesting discussion- and maybe someone else has similar tastes as me.
I'm looking for some VNs that have more story than the minimum necessary to deliver an H-Scenes and more H-Scenes than one or two token scenes between the protagonist and female lead... something within the spectrum of Wanko to Kurasou on the h-heavy end and Princess Waltz on story heavy end. Other examples would be Saya no Uta and Fate/Stay Night (heaven's feel route).
I'm especially interested in a sci-fi themed VN as they seem to be really in the minority, but feel free to mention others.
Also last note, I have no intentions of ever playing Bible Black, Discipline or School Days, all of which probably fit the criteria mentioned.

lol
I had seen that one previously when I first got into tLr. I managed to walk away with a minimum of scarring.
