It's perfectly fine the way you did it, I switched it because I like it that way. There's actually one instance where I had to put down both the Japanese and western way of saying the name because two waifus have the same name. It's funny, because the name is taken from some Chinese general a few hundred years ago.
Same name, different waifu. Japan you so crazy.

Failed so hard, FAILED - I didn't think of all people, Waar, would lay hands on Hitagi. So I made another attempt, was Kallen, and all's good.He did claim her last game you know, I saw it coming so I didn't even bother. I thought about Kallen for about half a second and said nah, but then I remembered Rei an knew she was gonna be my first pick since I missed her by about 15 minutes last game. I'm a kuudere kind of guy anyway.
I claim Ayanami Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion. On a kuudere scale of 1-10 Rei is ∞. That is all.
