Your analogy does not work. Delivered packages are not the same as hypothetical 'Secret Box'. This question is asking something completely different. The question is not asking something completely different. There was no description that puts this box out of the ordinary, merely the word "mysterious". A cardboard box can be mysterious, the qualifier here being that it is sealed and you do not know what is inside it.
OP didn't say anything about an anthropomorphic talking bunny handing you box of changing colors and glowing stars that is cool to the touch in some places and warm in others.

And I can agree with that line of thought, but that doesn't change the fact there aren't "official" standards when it comes to a person's posting rate. I guess I should have included what you said when I mentioned common sense because I think those go hand-in-hand. I just wouldn't call those "community set standards" because to me standards are rules, but I guess that is up for interpretation as well.
Yes, there aren't any official rules regarding that, but I never said there were. I believe what we were looking for were reasons for doing things in moderation.

I can't fathom why anyone would care if someone posts a lot unless it hurts their precious ego.It gives off the impression they're just here to increase their post count for whatever chimerical reward, be that post titles or post-related access -- regardless of if they actually are.
If the negative response of the community to mass-posting is something that the perpetrator is bothered by -- which they evidently are, then yes, I would consider that to be a reason to post in moderation.
