Since I was in primary school, I think. Maybe between ages 6-8? We had a really old Gateway computer (well, fairly new at the time) and an ISDN connection (which was like "whoa, not dial-up"). Learning how to use computers just kind of became natural. I actually didn't want to go into Computer Science originally, and had been considering Animation or Graphic Design. But alas, my art skills are rather lacking, and I actually enjoy programming so that's where I'm at today.

That's a fairly long introduction to essentially ask what people to answer a bunch of questions about how people feel about stopping human aging. I find your attempt at a 'scientific' introduction lacking (especially since I didn't see the word 'telomere' once in your post), but I do accept your hypothetical scenario and questions.

Personally I would be interested in a scenario where we could choose to halt our aging process. There would be a lot of societal changes: you could no longer take a person's appearance at face value in order to determine wisdom or venerability. People with careers that depend on looks would benefit the most, such as actors and models.
I'm being brief here, but other potential effects would be an increased demand for euthanasia and a worse population problem than we currently have.
A lot of the questions you've asked can be answered (or postulated) fairly logically. Only with regard questions like "would the world be better or worse" would the answer really vary from person to person.

Also, in the future you should probably answer with your own inputs to your questions rather than just ask them.

*Uhm, not sure really. While he could (and is trying) start a lot of progressive policies, they can literally be overturned by our circus of a congress. Also I don't really pay attention to national politics. Local ones are what really affect you anyway.

Oh, huge. I know this might sound poser-ish since I am female and females in geek culture ARE wanton to do that, but srsly. I cannibalized an old rack mount server and now it's running a Arch with a web server. I also have a working Gentoo install, so I think I get some nominal amount of cred.

I think apathy is a good start, though not in a depressive or suicidal way. (If you don't care about what they think of you, it can't get you down!) Also, learning how to interact in a normal, sociable manner helps a lot too.
