I haven't had this experience. If it is happening to me, it either hasn't been a large enough or severe enough trend for me to notice. Usually you just encounter rude individuals who obviously have some issues going on with their lives.

I think this is less a job for hands-on moderation and more for how comments should be formatted on a page. Think reddit, imgur. Image replies aren't even allowed and lengthy replies aren't either (or collapsed).
As for people downvoting comments you feel should be constructive, "that's just like, your opinion man". No but seriously, if you get caught on the wrong side of tyranny by majority, you should probably just let it go.

Are you sure you want to use tumblr as opposed to an *actual* blogging platform like Wordpress or LiveJournal? tumblr's main thing is 'microblogging' so it occupies a niche between 'tweeting' and blogging. (Why such a niche should exist is beyond me) Anyway, the point is that tumblr by design is not created for (nor as well equipped) for more serious or lengthy entries that you might be interested in creating on your hentai review blog.

A lot of people are already believing that they all have to have the same beliefs and always be loyal to their party, doesn't matter the issue. The First Amendment already clears that up, it's happened for every president in the past and no one can do anything about it.
I'm just showing you the other side of the same coin. You complain about people (that you don't agree with) viewing the side they don't agree with as traitors and enemies but honestly both sides do that.

But oh no, let's forbid any conservative news reports. The bias of the left-wing is huge right now and probably the worst it has ever gotten to begin with. It's "always true news if you are on their side" now anyway. As for the people, they are radicals who agree 100% with any moves the government and the media helping them does, if anyone falls out of that 100% accept everything range, they are traitors and the enemy.

What does that make all the people who don't agree with Obama's policies and call him "Hitler", "Communist", "Socialist", or even accusing him of not being a natural-born U.S. citizen? Reasonable people with no bias at all?
