To the people saying do IB threads: IB threads are fortunately quite transient, but this also means very few of them are good candidates for analyzing.

How would you know unless you tried? Is it because it wouldn't make any logical sense? That's usually the main reason people don't even try.

The economy is already in the shitter. Technically, the LHC is currently a waste until a practical application of the knowledge gained there occurs. The issue here is all the people saying that it WILL be a waste like they've got a crystal ball on their desks or something.
If you think about it, finding the Higgs Boson is probably the least wasteful thing the LHC has done, since that's what it was made to do. What one considers waste is of course relative, but I wonder what everyone thought when they were starting up the LHC for the first time?

Really? From everything I've read, M-Theory appears to be macro String Theory, or a combination of all 5 main superstring theories into one.
