I don't know why you discarded ATI from your list. Their graphics cards support dual monitors under linux, they just don't support 3. If you're aiming for 3 displays, then you need 2 graphics cards and a larger PSU. Do you think you will make that upgrade? If not then ATI still seems reasonable to me with their prices. He will have two graphics cards.

You remembered! I like you. :) (Also totally looking forward to it.)
As for your piece -- seems more ecchi than H, but I like the watercolor style it has. What did you use to do it?

With regard to ratings, there is 80+, 80+ Bronze, 80+ Silver, 80+ Gold, and 80+ Platinum. Their efficiencies increase in that order. I can't say if the cables are long enough, but extensions aren't terribly expensive anyway.
Not sure why you want to run two different GPUs at once, but ok.

Nah, go to CTFG.Ryssen did exactly what Gambler has suggested and the thread is still moved anyway.
At this point people don't really give a fuck anymore. It's about making an excuse to get away with it.
What I care about now is Man United fighting for Premier League title against Man City!
Really, just stop replying if you're not going to even respond to what other people have to say, and only go *fingers in ear lalalala* to waar.

1.) There are better blanket drivers for Linux around now, so you might be able to do OK. You should take the list of video cards you're considering and look for any issues with drivers for them.
2.) Benchmarks are a (fairly) better way of measuring GPU performance. You can try using this site or using Google.
3.) You can use this power supple calculator, the one on Newegg.com has been known to overcompensate by almost double. In this case, if you would have a power consumption requirement of about 488w (upper limit) if you used the HD7850. (I excluded the 8800GT because you wouldn't want to be running two different GPUs at once.)
4.) I'm quite partial to Enermax, as I utilize that brand myself. $120 should be about right for a 500-600w PSU. Make sure you look for the 80plus ratings on the PSUs. They indicate better power efficiency.

Not another thread aimed at religion. Seriously this topic has been beaten to death, if you really want to discuss this. Find the old SD thread pertaining to religion.Religion is a subject, not a topic. OP could probably be more verbose in their post, though.

So far i've seen a lot of 'because i'm the mod and i say so', and snide comments in a vain attempt to sound like they're not just flexing their authority. then, much later, after increasing pressure from the comunity, it was followed by a legitimate explination... and more snotty attitudes. even when Gambler attempts to reach some kind of compromise, it's shot down out of shear spite, followed by more failed attempts at witticism. So somehow me pointing out devsonfire's and Kouki's (and to a lesser extent GameON) glazing over of other moderator's explanations = snotty attitudes and failed attempts at witticism? What.
Am I somehow not allowed to be genuinely upset that both me and Mattarat provided detailed explanations which (by the users previously mentioned) were ignored? That these users continued to harp on points no longer relevant (waar's "powermongering")? And I'm somehow not supposed to be more upset that you come in here and call them "snide comments" and "failed attempts at witticism"?
Really, who here has the "snide comments" and "snotty attitudes"?
Also, the only moderator who ever even said anything remotely close to "i'm the mod and i say so" was waar, and that's a pretty oversimplified interpretation.
You know, just because we disagree with you doesn't make us bad people or power mongers.

No no I wasn't saying you did not give your reasoning. I was saying that if you and the other mods agree with it, please explain it more briefly like "We mods agree that this thread should be moved because it contains blablablablablah".That's what we did. Not my fault you didn't read it.

Honestly, Gambler's way of approaching things are the best so far in Fakku.OT: Thanks for giving us the chance, Gambler!
If this one does not work too then by all means move it to CTFG.
But please, don't use "I think it's best to be moved to CTFG because I think so and the other mods agree with it" because that kind of reasoning does not help and it pisses us users off. I'm not saying Waar did this, just a train of thought
Bloodrage.

For the users who actually READ and at least TRIED to understand reasons for actions taken, I do applaud your sensibility. I really shouldn't have to though, because people should act rationally. So in reality I am mostly applauding you in order to lead into a chastisement for the other users.
To the other users who did not bother reading any of the other mods' posts and instead put their fingers in their ears and said "lalala fuck the system" or "you only moved it because of [incorrect] (reason)?" or even "our thread deserves special treatment because it has an intrinsic value to us", you should really do some introspection. If you're petitioning for something, or even debating, you need to present a coherent, related, and valid point. It's a bit sad to see the only such instance presented to both Mattarat and my posts was by Haronitar, who doesn't even support your position. You guys sure are quick to jump all over waar "strong-arming his opinion" but honestly I doubt your subsequent narrow-minded bloodrage is much better.

Hi, after being enlightened as to what actually happened regarding the various threads, merges, and moves, I have come to the following conclusions:
1.) The two threads "What are you listening to right now" and "Rate the song above" are different enough to remain as two separate entities.
2.) Both "What are you listening to right now" and "Rate the song above" are threads that should belong to the sub-forum Chat Topics and Forum Games (CTFG), because of the nature of posts typical to both threads: Short, non-serious replies to only the previous poster. Additionally, because a single user may reply multiple times to these threads in a short time interval, their categorization fits much better with that of a typical CTFG thread.
Did Waar move the topic without trying to understand the topic itself, OR he moved it because he can and his way of thinking is overrules another.
If its first, then its a mistake. Accidents happen.
But if its second, no offence, but youre a self righteous prick.
What, no third? How about, "After reviewing the thread it was determined that by the standards which have been used to categorize every other thread thusfar, the thread should be moved"?
I can appreciate you trying to step back and analyze the matter but you need to do it completely and objectively. Your bias was pretty obvious here.

Sansa is a company known for its Sandisk line of SD card products. Their mp3 players aren't hard to find in the U.S.
Whatever floats your boat, though. As far as I'm concerned, an mp3 player can't really be a "beast" of any sort -- if you want it to do other things, get a tablet or an iTouch.
