Ah, no I'm not using any filters, everything I do only involves an airbrush and the smudge tool on a transparency layer on top of the original image. I fell that using the filters makes things too easy and not too artistic. That doesn't seem like it requires you to do much at all. Maybe if you add some of your own artwork or designs to the images it'd be better.

Pretty excited. Also, RIP AMD.

If you're going to run some filters/blur/brush over things, make sure you do the entire image so it looks uniform. Is all you're doing is minor editing to existing pictures?

Since it seems that most people in this thread are more interested in complaining than discussing, I'm locking it. If you want to complain, do it in Anime General or IB.

Not sure how much worse a thread can get than doing nothing but copying a Twitter feed. Edit for readability? Pf.

It has nothing to do with Americans hating anything that isn't American. Its the idea that people become reclusive, and only allow certain things to influence them. Allowing something as trivial as anime interfere with real life experiences. Like a "Forced autism" - credit Hideaki Anno. And Sadly it is often the impetus for anime fans to be referred to as: husks, anti-social, socially awkward etc Simply because of the premise that Anime fans only care about Anime. For more info take a look at Hideaki Anno's story, and why he "abandoned" (somewhat true beside the fact of redoing the NGE series) the "Otaku" culture/lifestyle.
I enjoy anime, I like the fact that i can escape the daily grind and laugh. But letting it overhaul my life isn't something I'd like.
I'm quoting this less to respond to it and more to commend you for being a sensible person, a stark contrast to most who have posted in this thread.

Your post just alludes that the public opinion about Anime is explicitly negative.Nah, I was talking about stereotypes. Stereotypes by nature are generalizations, and not all public perception of anime is negative.

Are you looking for advice or approval? If I were making some component choices I would feasibly be confident in them.

2. Stereotype(?): Tegumi wrote...
Spoiler:
To counter the explicit stereotype argument; Anime as such has a rather high popularity with intellectual people. You will barely find a graphic designer or digital artist who hasn't heard of Akira. And what open minded person would, looking back on his childhood, not admit that series like Pokemon and Dragonball gave us a lot of pleasure?
I'm not sure how this is a counter to the stereotypes that exist? I believe OP's (and indeed most posters thereafter) point was that there is a negative generalization of anime fans. My point is that you should not blame another party for a stereotype that members of your representative party perpetuate.

Why is a stereotype ever a stereotype, people? People may be intolerant or ignorant, but honestly, that isn't the core reason, is it?Stop making so much sense, Tegumi.
I can't help it. It just irks me when people ignore more plausible reasons for an "easy way out" reason that blames everything on others -- pretty much what most people in this thread have done.
