Every system I have seen where everybody can edit is you get 1,000 inane tags and only a dozen good ones.The only problem I have with this is people will be bitching due to who can edit and who cannot. If you're going to be okay with everything because "it's IB" then threads shouldn't be deleted regardless unless it breaks an explicit rule, but apparently not all the rules are enforced so it doesn't matter anyway. Why follow some when you don't follow all? Might as well be a free for all kind of deal.
If you don't like what the section is, go to a different one. There is a reason we have so many, you know. IB for mindless drivel and spam.
