I definitely understand every point youve made in your post, except for one of the last things you said. When you said its been a great 10 years to those that cannot pay a monthly subscription, youre basically sugarcoating the fact that youve made the executive decision of saying goodbye to a lot of people whom have been members for a while. Why not implement some sort of system where long time users get some sort of pass or at the very least discount towards membership? Even offering a free trial to existing members to see if they like the new direction Fakku is heading in would be better than simply saying goodbye. I for one have had an account here for 7 years now, but have been with you since the beginning. And trust me, I'm not trying to be cheap here; in all honesty ill probably buy a subscription soon if you havent already assumed so based on my long term account. Im speaking for those that just wont bother and are saying goodbye as well. I know for a fact that the website will still be running regardless.... I'd just like to see you getting the viewers and credit you deserve. And as a business owner myself, it was a crucial turning point for me to realize that customer retention is just as important, if not more so, than new promotions.
