Don't change. As long as America spend 60% of their yearly budget on defense funding I can live in a country with virtually no defense funding at all. It allows us to spend our money on education, health care, and to solve the majority of our problems. God bless America and their big stick attitude, the benefit to me is immeasurable.

When that happened I was a section mod and was told under no uncertain terms that both sections were things I had to watch, I didn't act without jake's permission the first time either. In terms of other bad threads you can find: I only cut out what I believe to be cancer.

I don't think it should be clear, being a good user in IB takes time and I want people to take that time so if my intervention can force people to take it I will, and I will continue doing so until I leave this "job".

For the most part a shitty user will make a thread and i will lock it while telling them not to make threads like that. If they persist I lock more, if they try to fight me it then gets messy. But if they understand(as nexus eventually did) I loosen the reins and don't track them that closely. It's not like I ever ban users for being bad posters, I just control their ability to communicate on our boards(which is, as always, a privilege).



Ive explained this a few times in countless threads, we left that statement as vague as possible so that if someone abused a rule to excess like say "necrobumping 50 threads" we could punish them as if they broke a rule, but also it allowed us to let people who necro once to get away without incident. It gives us room to act if we(each individual mod) wish to. I simply don't play by the normal rules.

I really don't think it's as unfair as you make it out to be, but I am on the side of things who never faces that so perhaps I have no idea how it really feels.

Let me ask you this: Do you believe Fakku/IB would be better off without me as a moderator? I won't take offense, I'm just trying to look at the bigger picture. Will IB be a better place without me locking some threads and leaving others be? Do my actions help or hurt these boards?

Your bold text seems to follow two patterns, one which tries to paraphrase or expand on what I said and another where you seek to question my methods. I will do what I can to interpret these ramblings.



I assume these are questions. If I feel something is too poor in terms of quality. Sometimes they are against rules and I say so but other times I'm just "trimming the fat" for terrible threads. I'm always clear as to what the issue is, even if it's just that I dislike it.



I'm sorry, are you trying to paraphrase what I'm saying or are you saying you have the power to stop me? I think it's an attempt to paraphrase. It's less about who the person is and more about what they're trying to say. If someone has been postings consistently bad though, I do force them to adhere to my standards. Again something I believe in.



In general I follow my own rules until im forced to change by Jacob or the other admins. If this is about the image macro threads alone I was forced to stop locking those a while ago(as I admitted when it happened). I have been consistent on anything I've locked until I'm told to stop.

I can't be more clear about this, this thread does not violate any rules in IB. I said the staff wont punish unless they feel it's broken rules. You then asked about another thread that I moderated and I responded in kind with my reasoning, which was that it was a bad thread of poor quality.

To be honest I'm flabbergasted at how you seem to be incapable of comprehending the simple concepts I keep repeating. Perhaps I overestimated your reading comprehension skills; for that I am sorry.

No, I'm telling you I've always locked any thread I believe to be a problem.

Spam, double posting and image threads, all of those can exist in IB if staff members want to allow them.

That being said, I also explained countless times that I do things by my own rules, and this place is far better for it.

What part of this is favoritism? I locked a thread that I saw as a bad thread, I don't believe this thread falls into the same category. Hypocrisy? I never pretended to be something I'm not, I'm very clear about my actions and the reasons behind it. There is no deception here. I'm as transparent as possible so what hypocrisy can you identify? Consistency? I consistently act as I see fit and always have, I could not be more consistent.

This incident or a thousand others, I have always acted as I see fit, your points don't become more valid simply because there are many incidents.

I wasn't close with Jake when I was first made a staff member(we had met once for an hour or two?). It was because I was proven to be an asset that he could trust during Fakku's time of need. I don't "get away with it" because Jake likes me, he just trusts(most of the time) that what I'm doing is in the best interest of Fakku. I believe making bad users rethink things before they post is an essential service I can provide, and it's proven to work; you are a prime example. You are still by no means a good poster but you are far better than what you once were.

In general I don't just ban users or win arguments with mod powers. I do tend to try and argue/debate my way out of whatever issue first. When I do use mod power it's because I believe I'm acting as someone needs to, because someone has to do the shit I do.

The power I have has nothing to do with my attitude, I've been "Waar" far longer than I've been a mod, the power just enables me to enforce my will if need be.

I will be "Waar" as long as I see a need for it.

What do you want me to tell you, I lock threads I hate but the rest of the staff don't. When I was asked if this thread was going to be locked I said "why?" The other staff wont because it doesn't break any rules and I wont because I don't dislike it. If you can't differentiate how I act and how the other staff act that's your problem but it really seems like I have the spell things out for you. You aren't new around here so get with the program.

The "we" refers to staff on Fakku, I do whatever I want but we as a staff we don't punish people for being obnoxious. If you're asking me if I don't like this thread? I clearly didn't lock it and thus don't dislike it.
