You call that a debate? All I was doing was trying to understand their reasoning as to what made my action wrong. He who casts the first stone... perhaps next time you should avoid insulting my advice if you don't want it returned. I gave you advice as a moderator and longstanding member of this board, you didn't like what I had to say (though perfectly logical and reasoned) and now you're butthurt. It seems I've found my new angelus, let's hope you turn out to be as productive(or destructive) as those who came before you.

For the record, insults and arguments aren't "serious", and they belong in IB.

He made the ultimate sacrifice for his beliefs, so why should I falter or change my attitude for a bunch of pussies who don't know how to argue properly?

I'm against some of the socially accepted behavior here because I'm against social conformity period. I rarely follow the crowd based on shallow reasons like "everyone is doing it". Fuck that bullshit, I'll follow my own path. A real man sets his own rules.


Then why post here if you think the section is filled with trolls and children? Did you seriously compare yourself to Jesus, because you're arguing in IB? I post here because there are some threads that are entertaining and amusing. I enjoy the sense of freedom here and I can tolerate the children that post. I only got serious in this particular case because I wanted to clarify my reasons for necrobumping this thread. Take note that they responded back to me in a serious manner as well, but when they realized they couldn't talk me down, one of them pulled the "why so serious?" card on me. In the end, it was an error on my part to think that their reasons for disapproval of my actions were justified on a serious level. However, I don't regret taking the matter seriously. That's just how I am. Its fine if you think I'm making an ass out of myself, but I can't help but to find that statement ironic since apparently you believe that making an ass out of yourself in IB is acceptable behavior.

I wasn't comparing myself to Jesus, I merely made a statement that I model my attitude of not giving into social conformity from the examples he and other people like him set.


You've mistaken making an ass of yourself for not taking things seriously. While I know some people do make asses of themselves I do wish they did it less often. IB is a place for jokes and fun, not people being serious. My original statement still applies, you don't belong here if you take anything serious.
