Saya no Uta is a story of different perspectives on the definition of evil and love. This is obvious from Fuminori's condition contrasted with how the real world is viewed by others, how Saya treats humans other than Fuminori and how Fuminori justifies his actions later on in the story. I found it easy to relate to most of the characters, whether it be the childish and humane Saya, or Fuminori who believes what he sees or Kouji who lost everything except his hated enemy. Of course Fuminori is still a sociopath, Saya will always be a monster (internally and externally), and Kouji is an idiot but they have legitimate motives for their actions that are easy to sympathize with. Otherwise the eroge has top-notch sound assets as expected from Nitro+, the art is drop dead gorgeous whether it be monstrosities or Saya's birthing (which must be the most hideous spectacle in the universe) and usually the writing was good but there were moments where they tried too hard to make explanation interesting when it made it dull, broke the pacing. The eroge is good for a laugh, whether it be the irony or the tragedy. The H itself is hilarious, it's like Gen is daring you to defy reality and submit to your instincts. It's hard to argue with it's short length, as I enjoy stories that do not waste my time. Saya no Uta is a great eroge and it's few downsides are not enough to drag it down.

Frankly I would have had Saya make herself human, cure my illness and then just live on normally.

About 50% of the movie was flashbacks and nothing was really accomplished compared to where the anime left off, but I'm rather impressed by their stance to make sure that Menma is dead, the goodbye scene flashback with the PERFECT audio cue was just as strong as it was back then, almost making me cry, and the after credits scene was touching.

That's the problem, he's had a massive character overhaul and entered a stage called "final boss prep" with no real final boss(this final boss had "your princess is in another castle all over it"). Ordinarily, conflicts between flawed main characters bridge the gap leading to the finale only having closure nearing the end to maximize the viewer's exposure to said conflicts. Although watching Yukine being a douchebag was frustrating for me I understood that he was in a growth stage so there was that expectation of him acting proper and when he did it felt like he lost much of his allure in the series, of course they could have had something planned later on. They could go to his past and I would be interested in seeing that. They can do something for Yukine like expand on his Regalia or spirit related duties but the series was capped at 12 episode.

Probably forced romance is a poor wording on my part, when I realized that it was going to be baddie X+ transparent baddie Y+damsel in distress= abrupt ending.

The final arch was some guy named Rabou geeking hard about a murderous Yato that was hinted at but never fully explained. Like Bishamonten's shtick with Yato, Kazuma's debt to Yato and how he used Nora to kill a Regalia and so on so forth.

The lack of direction was pointed at the fact that they ditched the goal of Hiyori getting her body back after the first few episodes to understandably make room for Yukine's arc, but then brought it up for that lackluster ending.

Aesthetically, the anime was superb the audio(my favorite), animation and art all hit hard. They don't insult my intelligence by having me sit down to droll flashbacks or logic for BS that lasts for half the episode, CB tells the viewer to understand then move on. The tired and selfish main characters struggle daily to justify their lives after losing their purpose in life, the big three kept impressing me with the depth of their relationship. Everybody knew their place and held it: Spike was a space badass before it was in space, Faye was a space hooker on menopause and Jet was the space million dollar man.

Well it did have it's wrongs. Mainly when CB skipped over too many details, particularly Vicious's unclear motives for douchebaggery. Julia and Vicious were too transparent to be a vital characters in the anime, they were just there to advance the plot. I was expecting something huge concerning the Gate Accident in the series, and maybe it was a good to avoid some Aztec BS ending but otherwise it was a convenient excuse for magic. The ending is the best and worst thing to happen, on one hand they provided amazing closure for Spike and killed him off(?) in a bold move, then they completely ditched everyone else's closure.
Cowboy Bebop is one I'll remember, but not exceptional it's better than average is all.

That's not what I said at all. I said that mindless fun should not be an excuse for bad quality and that Kill la kill was good. Good meaning average.

Satsuki on episode 18 around 3:52 said that Ragyou infused herself with Life Fibers.

I missed this earlier, Ragyou states that Bakuzan is a sword based off the Original Life Fiber swords that Ragyou uses to fight with.

If our laws did not apply in that alternate dimension, then it's pretty unlikely that a human would survive in that dimension because it operates our dimension's laws. A solution is that spiral energy altered their bodies to apply to the new dimension's laws, but spiral energy is magic. I really dislike revisiting the logic of TTGL because it all boils down to spiral energy being magic.

A viewer is expected to piece together some information themselves, likewise the writer should be able to estimate the mental capacity of the crowd that he/she is trying to appeal to. Kill la kill probably expected too much inference, but some of those details were insignificant to me anyways.

I think that people can watch Kill la kill however they so please, because they deserve the right to derive pleasure their way. Who knows they might pick up something I missed. That said I think Kill la kill at least didn't get bogged down and completely lost in it's plot so it was watchable. You might think otherwise. Good for you. Have a biscuit, say your piece and go; because I'm pretty sure a good enough chunk of this has been resolved to come to the conclusion that Kill la kill is not your thing or is.

Ryuko was controlled by Life Fibers on several occasions, her monster transformation, Kamui Junketsu and so on. Her stubbornness, help from friends, and so on helped her overcome this. Ryuko was vulnerable to blood loss early one because she was still "evolving", that is not how evolution works, with Senketsu until they reached complete synchronization where Ryuko just regenerates everything. Ryuko is an idiot that's her reason for Honnoji first, she wandered into the nearest town to her father's death and declared vengeance on the most aggravating person she found first. I don't really like Ryuko.

Ragyou was obsessed with life fibers simply because her family line did it for ages and had life fibers sewn into her body to show her devotion. She put too much effort in her daughters because she wanted her own blood to see COVERS in her light despite her reputation for ruthlessness. Even though there are reasons for her actions they are poor.

Gurren Lagann DID require brain shut-downs in many areas. Their model of evolution is inaccurate, spiral energy is unfeasible, throwing Galaxies around like frisbees and Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann(the mecha) almost killed all my braincells. However using spiral power instead of magic frees up more options without having to sit the viewer down to an hour long lecture on a fool-proof model for infinite energy that doesn't make a physicist gag.

NDB were probably smart enough to wear the 10% or custom made clothes. Bakuzan is a sword probably made of life fiber, it's there because it's cool (even though Bakuzan is underwhelming to me). It's like drills in TTGL, there are clearly reasonable alternatives but they are probably less interesting. They could have addressed the Four Devas and NDB's beef with Ryuko, but it's silly to squabble over vengeance/rivalry with the humanity's only hope and when Satsuki accepted Ryuko it pretty much meant that the Four Devas had to drop it.

I think it's especially hilarious that QT throws out all memories of the entire thing at the beginning of the episode.

Ragyou was wearing it the entire time, ever since the last episode.

Ehhh I think they botched the finale a bit. Ryuko's poor last words to Senketsu and Senketsu's death. Felt like it was too forced to be a legitimate MC death. There was also that fake death scene with Gamagori, where Mankanshou and Harime silliness basically ruined that transparent but still touching affair. Still I liked how they didn't beat around the bush and the over-the-top insanity going on. Anime was good, not great but good.


Wait till he learns that Mankanshoku is lesbian.
