Hmm, yeah I'll be going with the non-3D version then. The stitching around the breasts is horrible, and as expected panties on top of a dakimakura just looks weird x

Well that made my morning. Just got my invoice for the Lilith-soft Yukikaze cover. Can't wait for her to arrive! Also, yet another C82-exclusive that I MUST own: http://blog.埋もれる抱ãæž•er.jp/archives/8772
"é ’å¸ƒæ•°ï¼š10æžš"
uh.. good luck with that then :(
Aoi Kimi confirmed for Anko at comiket. And Oshiki Hitoshi (one of the clochette artists) has his own cover coming out too http://blog.埋もれる抱ãæž•er.jp/archives/8734
I really hope he has a lot of stock so the price isn't insane for it ;( (not gonna bother wishing that for the Anko one as it pretty much definitely will have insane prices :p ).

Ah, the same one of that batch of Komachi Musume covers as I ordered Zengar. Mine should arrive some time next week though since I went for slow SAL registered shipping.
Finally managed to get a copy of the Clochette game-benefits Fuuka smoothknit cover. It's been on Mandarake many times but always sold out before I spotted it. Will post some pics when home from work tonight.

If I'm not folding back to the original form, I tend to just do lots (3) of horizontal folds in half.. I don't like how a big vertical crease down the middle looks when hanging dakimakura for display so I try to avoid any vertical folds. The horizontal ones aren't as noticeable (and I guess gravity helps with negating them slightly too). If you're using a pillow filling it shouldn't much matter though how you folded it as the pillow (if appropriately sized) should stretch out and hide any creases anyway.

It wasn't that long!
Well, to be honest with you, I haven't opened it yet. I'm anxious, but I'm still waiting for some of my SMJ stuff to be updated. There is one cover that is late July release but there hasn't been an update for it yet. I have four items that are currently stored in the US right now, just waiting for its other friends to come along.
Weird question, I guess, but after removing the cover from its original packaging, can you guys actually fold it back to the way it was?
After many years of practice (okay - a minute or two of paying attention as I carefully unfold them), yes I can fold them back to how they originally were. However, different companies tend to fold them in slightly different ways so it may be tough to fold it back if you don't check how it was done while initially unfolding it.
A&J ones are probably the easiest to refold, just turn the entire cover over so that the "front" side is facing down. Then look up near the top, there should be a fold there maybe an inch or two from the top, fold that (exact position varies depending on where the face is located on the front). If you want to put the cardboard back in too, tuck it in under that fold, and center it (based on where you see the creases from the side-folds). Then you basically find the big fold which should now be exactly midway between the (folded) top and bottom. (Note: sometimes the first fold at the top should be on top of this second fold, rather than under it). Fold on that, then you fold in the two sides so they meet roughly in the middle (sometimes they don't quite meet, or overlap, again depending on the face in front). Then you again fold along the midway from the top to bottom (if you have the card inside, this should be a fold along the bottom edge of it), flip it all over, done!
Most of you already saw it, but: Dakimakura Collection part 40
Also, @SATsurupettan on twitter is looking for a buyer for this cover if anyone is interested
Yeah true, it certainly does add up fast into a ridiculous amount if you want to stock a significant number of covers.
Well if you read Genshiken or the like, any manga where people run a stall at comiket, you'll see that in general they have only a tiny space allocated to them. So yeah, for smaller circles they wouldn't really have enough room to stock more than a box or two of dakimakura, and that cuts into how many copies of doujinshi they can have stocked too. As for having to front the money, I guess it depends on how big/small the circle is.. if they're moderately popular they can probably safely expect to sell unsold stock to consignment shops, it's only the really small/unpopular circles who'd be in trouble and they probably shouldn't be attempting to sell dakimakura before making a name for themselves anyway ;(

Oh my god... This cover is just *nosebleeds* DEM TITS!!
Seems there's only going to be 20 of them made for sale for comiket.. that's gonna be tricky to acquire for sure (and I wonder if the guy is making any profit at all with such a low batch size ;( )
Nice cover Kobun, really exquisite breasts and nipples! I like how her fingers are sinking into her breasts as she grabs em..
I'm interested in the Fatalpulse, 3rd Eye, Hyper Highspeed Genius and Baseson covers from Comiket. Though I sort of expect web orders for baseson and HHG so probably not going to be bidding on those. Also there's a bunch of covers with web orders already that I want too... my wallet wishes I only wanted 1 cover like you too ;(
I think it means that the cover will only be manufactured if they get at least a total of 30 orders from all customers combined. And that they'll inform whether it's going ahead or not at some time after the order deadline has passed.
Mmm those're really pretty. I kinda want all of them.. but I'll prob pick a favourite to get..

Inserts?! Now there's a dakimakura I might be enticed to buy.. oh, those kind of inserts. Oh well.Haha. Might I redirect you to this:

Also, for anyone still on the fence, I ran across a fairly detailed (lots of censored pictures, unfortunately) review of the miko fox that had the 3D boobies:
http://fosblog.blog94.fc2.com/blog-entry-1007.html
Yeah I don't really like how the fox one looks with the inserts, but it's a different seller and the other insert cover by the same seller as the new one (in their shop preview pics) looks a lot better imo.
If you google image search for 〈VENUS No.01〉澤野明先生æã下ã‚ã—下ç€ä»˜ã立体抱ãæž•ã‚«ãƒãƒ¼ you should be able to find the pictures they had of their previous cover (when it was still for preorder, seem to be gone from the s2comix site now). It seems like the sewing is well done on that one at least with respect to the inserts. The panties don't look that great to me and I'm wondering how they're attached to the cover... D:
The cheapest option is AJ's smooth knit indeed. If any of you have a smooth knit cover by chara-hai/chara-hi/chara-high (however you want to spell it), their smooth knit is AJ smooth knit.

Mmm, I'm probably going to go for the cheaper version. Though I'm still undecided. I kinda do want to get at least one cover with inserts for trying out the gimmick, but I don't really want external panties, as I can't imagine it ever looking "right" having real panties on top of a 2D image... So I'm pretty sure I'd never use them, and I think I like it a bit more with the drawn on panties..
The inserts/expensive version also includes a copy of a doujinshi of the girl drawn by the illustrator too I think.
Oh and the no-inserts version is released a month before the insert one it seems.

It's August 10-12th. The vast majority of ero authors will be on the last day (12th) while eroge companies are there all days (so look for their's starting the 10th). You can check artists individual blogs/twitter/etc to confirm exactly what day they are on.

Means it was orderable from july 1 -15, payment due by the 20th and shipping on day 3 of comiket (the 12th Aug).
From past experience, you can know which people are likely to do web sales in future too. For example, http://blog.埋もれる抱ãæž•er.jp/archives/8569 has no web sale yet, but they always do one about just under a month after the event so they 99% certainly will have one.
