I see what you mean about that cover. When I first saw the cover, it struck me well. Where you find the cover?!

Too be honest with you, I have no idea but I just wikied it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_(United_States)
Didn't really know what it is until reading the first sentence of the page.
And thanks for the link! Can't believe it is a late July deadline and an early August release.
Oh yeah, a SMJ question, lets say all your items are stored in USA. You can't request that item to be shipped until you pay it off, right?
That is correct. You can try, but they'll probably just send you an invoice for your outstanding charges. ;)
Well that was strange. I just went to pay Yokatta for my Toranoana order via PayPal and I received the following error message when I tried to submit payment:
"This recipient is currently unable to receive money."
I wonder if PayPal laid the smack down on them on account of the fact that they specifically tell you in their email invoice to "pay the Paypal fees by sending the payment as Personal Payment, or you can use other selection and we will charge you Paypal fees in separate payment."
Trying save a couple bucks probably bit them in the ass.
I think I need to up my spending cap on SMJ. I went to go look at placing a special order through Rinkya, shit's like $28 comission to order that Lilith cover. Eff that noise!
While I've no idea why they might be having problems, it's definitely nothing to do with that. That's just basically saying that the buyer pays the paypal fee not them, which is a totally legitimate demand to make and not against any paypal rules. If they didn't do that they wouldn't be making any money at all from being a proxy service.
Say I go buy an item for 17000yen item from some web order, and they charge 500yen local shipping too, 300 yen bank transfer fee and 700yen fee for yokatta. So that's 18500 total (or: 17800 money for the item, 700 for themselves), then a roughly 4% paypal fee, if borne by yokatta would mean they recieve 17760 after paying the paypal fee. Yes, they would be losing 40 yen by accepting the order. Obviously they can't be operating under such a ludicrous policy so they customer has to pay the fee or they can't offer a fixed rate 700 charge. Paypal fee isn't exactly 4% but it's roughly that, as a point of interest, and item of 16000 is the break even point where their paypal fee is 700yen equal to their fee if it is a 4% charge exactly.

All I know is that it has a much higher % of Polyurethane of 18% compared to other current 2WT which contains 12-13% respectively.
Always fun to try new materials; shame that Matsumoto didn't last, as I really liked theirs. But as it is, the 2WT/R spectrum varies quite a bit in the Polyester/Polyurethane ratio. There are those that are 12-13%, but I've seen some that are at 15%, and Seiren's Pearl Roika is 17%.
I must had missed those. Seiren's high Polyurethane ratio must be what makes it so awesome. It has this nice thick feel when you hug it compared to A and Js while smoother by a teeny weeny bit feels kinda thin.
Recently I found DC's 2WT to be incredibly bad. I noticed from using 4 covers made by them. Kanu, Koi Kishi(2 covers) and Mugen Kidou. All of them had nicks at the lower half of the cover. It isn't as durable as other 2WT. While I do have a 2nd copy of the covers I'm using, I'm not too happy about it.
The Akeno cover you have ( http://blog.埋もれる抱ãæž•er.jp/archives/8175 ) is a 17% 2way Tricot too, and feels a bit smoother than AJ2way to me.

Dunno about you Willow, But I think she reeks of awesomeness.Too bad taking shots from my shitty S3 in conjunction with my lousy photography skills. proves to be shitty as usual. I can try to get better face shots if you need to see.

Hmm, she's definitely nice but I think I can resist. I'd probably get it if it turned up cheap on mandarake (~12000) but not for 16k+. Did preorder Elina though, though that was mainly due to Shimizu Ai love lol ;( I should really find time to actually play Dracu-riot.
And yeah vietxmikey, as shashin says, if you want that poster you need to order it from the lilith shop (via proxy). However, it's quite likely that the cover will be sold by Amiami for a lot less (due to probably a 5-10% discount from amiami -the last Lilith covers were sold for 11,900 by amiami instead of 12600-, and no need to pay proxy fees or local shipping) but without the poster, so it's a question of how much the poster is worth to you.

I'd love to see pics of the dracuriot one. I ended up really regretting not getting Miu during the weborder after seeing your shots of it and got her off mandarake a bit back as a result. Hopefully I won't like this one as much too :P

But it is fairly cheap I guess :p
Did you end up picking it up? But yeah, I actually really like the art of the one I have, but the material is god awful. I think I ended up paying something ridiculous like 15k for it too (there were auctions of it for ~30k, and the actual retail price was like 7.8k, I think -_-) If the material were 2W, smooth knit, or even SK Suede, the price would have been absolutely worth it. But the material really was that bad, and that's why I dissuaded that one guy from ever posting here again... if he had a bootleg of the Louise cover (which was also for sale :o) he definitely would have been better off than having the official product.
Btw, were you still interested in Natsuru? :P
Nah wasn't me who picked up Mayoi, I'm more of a Nadeko / Karen fan from bakemonogatari characters. Mmm, as for Natsuru I think I'll pass, I like it but there's other preorders that my money should be prioritized for really. Also comiket coming up soonish to save for too.

You have a lot to learn about the world of dakimakura covers, my friend. ^^
There are primarily three types of dakimakura covers you could buy:
1. Bootlegs - This should be fairly obvious; it's knock offs that are using other people's work. Generally speaking, any dakimakura cover in the $30-70 range is a bootleg (though there are legit covers in that range, and bootlegs outside of it.) The quality is usually greatly inferior to the quality of the other two categories.
2. "Company" dakimakura covers - Generally speaking, these are the covers that you can find on big name sites like Hobby Search and AmiAmi. They use official art from their source series, and unless the source is an eroge/hentai, they're usually on the tamer side of things when it comes to nudity. Prices for these usually range from 8000-11000 yen.
3. "Circle" dakimakura covers - I'm sure you seen/read some doujinshi (if not, just check the front page of Fakku.) All doujinshi are done by collections of individual artists known as "circles". The dakimakura scene is much the same; there are probably hundreds of different circles that do dakimakura covers. The webpage you found, Dakemakura, is one such circle (Dakemakura is actually the circle name.) And the Homura you linked was also done by a circle, specifically AnkoKoubou (ã‚ã‚“ã“工房) and they actually happen to be one of my favorite circles (I own that Homura myself, as well as maybe 20 of their other covers.) Prices for circle works generally range from 10000 yen to 15000 yen.
If you really wanted that Homura, she's available on YJA for 12000 yen buyout. However, the material is 2-Way Roika and it had a pretty bad wrinkle problem, but it could be ironed out easily enough apparently (the material in the pictures you linked is the 2-Way Roika, so you can see what you'd be getting.) You'd also need to use a proxy to order it, so it would probably cost you around $180-200 to order it.
There are actually a good number of circles that are willing to ship internationally, though (copy/paste from a list I posted previously):
Circle sites that ship internationally
Now we're moving onto strictly circle stuff, and it becomes a tad harder to navigate, but it can still be done without any added cost or too much hassle. As a warning, if you haven't realized this already, most circle covers tend to be on the more explicit side of things.
Black and White Store - A production company/collection of circles (I'm not 100% sure of the relationship, honestly) that's location in Taiwan. They put out a lot of high quality covers, have a fairly decent English system set up, and include shipping in the total price. This is probably one of the better deals, if you find a cover that you like, given that the average circle cover is in the 13000 yen range and EMS shipping for one is about 1500-2000 yen, which is included in the usual B&W Store price of 13000.
Bon Cool - Bon Cool has garnered a lot of good will with me. They come out with some fairly nice products, but it's the cool promotions and things they do that really stand out. I've ordered from them two or three times. The first time, they included a double of one of their covers I ordered, as omake. The second time was with a promotion that got me 40% off one of their covers. The third time didn't yield anything special, but it isn't something you should ever expect, and it's cool that they've done what they have. If you check out their site, make sure you don't miss the language options in the top right hand corner to switch to English/preferred language.
Evening Call - I love this circle; I've been following them since their 4th cover came out (they're now in the 130s) and they recently started accepting international orders. The downside is that it seems to be an afterthought, so the accessibility if you don't speak Japanese is minimal.
Dakemakura - I've never ordered from them personally, but they're apparently willing to ship internationally according to their FAQ. The main thing of note about this circle is the vast number of covers they've done, most of which are still available for order now. If you went through them all, I'd imagine you'd probably find something you like.
W-Canvas - I'm including this site as a bit of an afterthought. They have a banner at the top that says they will ship internationally, but I've never ordered from them myself. They're not a circle, but a consignment shop, similar to Toranoana. They carry circle covers, usually at a price 5-10% higher than what you'd pay if you ordered directly from the circle. I know you can find both Evening Call and Dakemakura covers on there, as well as a ton of circles that don't ship internationally. If you can successfully contact them, and order covers from circles that don't ship internationally, it would probably be the cheapest way to acquire their covers. Update: They actually do have a fairly limited English shop set up now, but if you email them items you'd like added to it, apparently they will.
Hmm, ZZ, maybe you should edit your first post in the thread to include information like this, as well as where to buy actual pillows etc.. so that new people to the thread can find it easily and not all need to ask similar questions right off the bat. Though maybe not as they may not even post in the thread at all then ;(
A little tempted by the Natsuru cover but I'll probably resist. I would like to see the rin and sakura covers please.
Also since we're on the topic here's my sale post too :p http://www.figure.fm/post/en/40726/FOR+SALE+Dakimakura+covers+and+misc+stuff.html If anyone here is interested in anything I'll give you a bit of a discount since you're awesome!

Nice covers, Willow. :)Well I never heard back from Yokatta so I put an order in for that RabbitNet cover through SMJ, and it looks like I got my special order in, but it's pending. So we'll see what happens.
I decided to go ahead and get SMJ to to get 2 copies of the same cover you wanted.
Hope I get it, if not I'll just cry in a corner.

Hey Zengar, you have any sample shots of the elusive bondage Marks K-On! Tachibana? I pulled up the shots of yours you posted for me way back when I was considering picking one up, and I think I may have just snagged the bondage version. Assuming Mandarake pulls through and has it in stock, the product image provided (face shot) varies from the facial expression of either you previously posted. It has the same necktie as the spread version, but the eyes are a lot different. https://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shpimg/00/00/436/008.jpg
Unfortunately I don't have an image for it.
Ah, I kinda figured. They're pretty bad about posting samples images as it is, and their limited covers seem to be even harder to find a good sample of (usually it's just me getting lucky and finding someone with an auction that has the certificate in full view.) Anyway, if Mandarake doesn't sell it in store before they get it to me, I have a pretty good feeling that the bondage version is the version I have. Unless the image they used is just a stock image and it's the other Comiket version.
I ordered karory's cover on the Rabbit.net preorder, through SMJ. I put the order in Thursday night and said that the preorder was set to open 6/23 at 8PM. It got delayed and all, but they never sent me an order rejection. They sent me an email saying they had ordered my requested item at about 5AM this morning (the order opened at 4AM for me.) The item I had wanted had sold out at around 4:30AM, but they wouldn't have been able to order it at all if it was registered as out of stock, so here's hoping. It was pretty weird at one point though, as some of the covers had their stock listed as either -1 or -2. My guess is that a lot of people put in an order at the time same and they'll have to end up canceling a successful order or two. :/
The rabbit.net sales are a bit odd. They don't release all the items to sell at once, but instead allow a few more to be sold every few minutes, and as you say, people buying at the same time leads it to display negative numbers temporarily and presumably at the very end when its the real final stock someone does end up being cancelled/rejected.

By the way willow, would you be able to display the two girls at the middle of the bottom row from your pic here on your next dakimakura blog post? Their expressions are really eye-catching.
And here it is for you: Collection Part 35
Thanks man! I really liked the Akeno one. Ended up grabbing her from Yahoo auctions for 13.5k. Now just waiting for SMJ to ship it.
No problem, glad you liked it ;) Sure didn't take you long to get into the spirit of the thread! hehe
@vietxmikey Yokatta do give tracking numbers, just often it's a day or two.. or three.. after they have actually shipped it. And if you've used EMS it may be at your house by then at times.
The sale date got pushed back due to technical difficulties I think, so it hasn't opened up yet and apparently will tomorrow at 20:00 JST instead.

Sure I'll try to get some decent pictures of them done tomorrow.
That is correct, the Types refer to which telephone card (front or back) is included (in previous events they also included a clear file as well I think, which was similarily linked to type A/B depending on if they were of the front/back). 008 is probably with the card of the 2nd side of it yeah. Yokatta can be slow to respond to e-mails, so if you are going to ask them to do it don't delay in asking.
If you don't manage to get the web order in, check YJA right away. After I tried (and failed) at getting a previous one during the web order period, I was able to pick it up at (preorder) YJA auction for 10500yen (cheaper than the webshop at 12600yen) the day after it opened on preorder sale at the webshop, but minus the phone card/clear file bonuses. Obviously not great if you really want the card, but at least you can still get the cover if other buyers are doing that again and possibly at a good deal if you're quick.

Holy shit man... That's a lot! I noticed you place an order for the Takane cover, nice choice! I have to ask you a question about a particular product though. That desk mat you are buying with the three girls laying on their sides, did SMJ accept that order?
I don't see why they wouldn't accept it. Unfortunately, I have to place the special order again and this time SMJ asked me to separate my order into five different special orders. I sent them an email asking if I'm going to be billed for five separate special order charges. Best not be playin' me like that. Especially for all of the money we spend...shiiii-. ;)
Anyhow, two things:
1. On a sad note, it looks like ILLUSTGUERRILLA is officially dead. Either the site has been removed or the domain license expired. Either way, it's pretty sad. :(
2. On a holy shit-I-want-this-cover note, I must have this cover:

I cannot tell if it's just limited to the con or if you can web order it, but it comes with a bonus phone card too. :D
It's a web order with limited quantities (50 of type A and 50 of type B) that opens on this saturday at 8pm japan time. While in theory it stays open, in practice these rabbit.net sales tend to sell out within an hour or two often. I asked Yokatta about it once before and they said that for an extra 700yen on top of their normal fee they could order it exactly when the sale opens, though I never took them up on the offer so no idea how reliable they are at that.
Also, wouldn't Yokatta (700yen per 3 items per seller) be significantly cheaper than SMJ for that toranoana order too? Even if their customer support is a bit more lacking.
While you were already ordering other stuff so it doesn't matter this time, in general, it's possibly best to get HOP covers from w-canvas as they stock them all as far as I can tell (there's the one you got: http://www.w-canvas.com/products/detail.php?product_id=35511 ) and they ship internationally so no need to proxy.
And here's my shipment from otacute:

They included 3 (of the same) Vanguard Cardfight cards too as a bonus. I've no idea how to play it or anything though and no intention of learning :p

I bought another Lose cover which you can find a few pages back, but I can't post pics of it here. I think Mikey was asking for the shots, so I'll send them on over via message tomorrow. I think I'm going to place an order for the two lovely tanned ladies tomorrow too.
Hope everyone had a good night, talk to you all later tomorrow/today. ;)

As for the new CranCrown cover; I'd say there's a good chance it's censored in some way, and the goods aren't exposed as it looks like they should be. D: But we'll see. :o
Nice stuff! Yeah from the preview pic, I'd imagine the front is barbie style censoring and the back her panties will barely be covering her pussy. Her anus may or may not be censored though.
