She's is clearly admiring him when they ride up the steep hill and when they go through the crowd at the end thus moving towards dere.
I get why she thinks it's embarrassing to say "I like/love you" and stuff like that. But a simple "thank you" shouldn't be too much to ask. I think she's being pathetic if she can't say "thank you" while he's listening.
That's part of her character development and her not being able to repeat the thank you so he can hear shows how much she really does appreciate it, as part of her tsundere. She's already shown in previous episodes that she can say thank you to Kyousuke and does appreciate what he does, but in this episode it shows how overwhelmed she really is by his kindness. Her in a wedding dress and him in a suit holding hands together, she's not being pathetic, she is moved.
