Got home from work and my mom told me the mother of one of her friends died and is basically forcing me to go to the funeral home with her.

At work i usually listen to EDM/dubstep, or metal if i remember my head phones. When im trying to get work done at home, usually progressive metal or some chill dubstep/house.

Nothing im overly excited for, pretty sure im gonna watch Shingeki no Kyojin and Suisei no Gargantia, both look like theyre gonna be pretty good, ill probly pick up a few more as the season progresses.

I'll go days at a time without going out for any reason other than work, but i do try to maintain a bit of a social life. Most of my RL friends are away at college, but we play alot of online games together so its like we hang out, and when they come home for the summer/holidays we usually have parties/go to bars. I go to concerts fairly frequently, if i can find someone to go with me. I have alot of friends, but I have trouble making new friends because im incredibly shy until i get to know people and it comes across as me being ignorant sometimes, which isn't at all how i mean to be. I've been attempting to get in better shape to try and combat my shyness with boosted self confidence, we'll see how that works out.

The first 4 Tomb Raider games were some of my favorite games growing up. Chronicles was ok and Angel of Darkness could have been great if the controls werent god aweful... they scrapped that story and kind of rebooted the franchise a little bit with Legend and i hated the direction it went in, the game took the focus away from solving puzzles and traversing terrain while battling monsters and badguys and such to way more action oriented gun fighting based game with the occasional ridiculously easy puzzle. Legend and Underworld kind of took away what made Tomb Raider and enjoyable game for me. I fear i will never again feel the joy of accidently discovering a secret room that has a large medpack and an extra Uzi clip lying on the floor because i curiously tried to go somewhere that it didnt look like i was supposed to go.

Anyways, now that im done being a nostalgia fag... from what ive seen of this new one the gameplay reminds me a hell of a lot of the Uncharted games, except with a bit more stealth and intuitive thinking involved when tackling different situations. I have faith that it will be a good game, i just hope they incorporate some of the puzzle solving and exploration that made the old tomb raider games so great.
