Off topic, but I just realized I can buy doujins off Toranoana with Yokatta. Much cheaper, getting a doujin @ 525yen! O_O Thanks to this thread, now I have another way to purchase them at a cheaper price instead of 1525yen per book. Unless someone is going to shut me down, and tell me, in the end it is going to be expensive. Where were you paying 1500 yen a piece at? D: I get most of mine in the 200-900 yen range at Mandarake. Granted they may not have the specific titles you're looking for, but there's often a good chance they will have it.
And I'm not positive, but with the way Yokatta's policies are worded, it seems like it would be 700 yen commission for every 3 doujinshi. But I'm not sure if they'd charge you the auction rate if you went and ordered a ton, because it exceeds their specified dimensions.
Well, it is one of those sites that does international shipping from the get-go.
Well after reading their service policy, they will charge you auction price if you exceed their maximum dimensions. When they mean by exceeding their maximum dimensions, they are referring to the packaging dimensions, right? Or am I just not understanding anything at all? >.>
Well, if you were to get a piece with Shipping and Handling that would eb reasonable. If it's without then that would be overpriced. As mentioned, you can get them pretty cheap on Mandarake. Most of the time you can get them below their original retail in brand new condition.
Like I got Udon-Ya's Compilation book 1-5 and 6-10 for only 2k for the books themselves.

Hey Zengar, do you own a Dream Master?Unfortunately, I don't. because it only comes in 150cmx50cm configurations and most of my covers are at least 160.
Hmmm, I see. I mean, you have been doing this for about 5 years now, has there been good things said about this pillow? It is the most expensive out of them all. At least through Amiami and the pillows they got to offer.
Yes, it's said by many to be the best pillow out there in the market because of it's ridiculously high thread count(of course this isn't the most important factor because it only deals with the surface).
It's super thick in a way that you know most pillows when you hug it for a while, the filling inside will be pushed to the top and the bottom of the pillow, leaving the center slightly hollow, the lousier the pillow the more prominent this will show. DreamMaster is known for being able to ignore this problem due to it's high density filling, so the shape of the pillow stays intact.
While A&Js is a good pillow,it still lacks the density of the filling in Dream Master but you can top up the filling into A&Js via the zipper the bottom of the pillow, so it's no big deal.

so machine washing is out of the question? even on gentle? You can,If you want to. Most covers come with washing instructions and most suggest it's fine with a gentle cycle.
It's just that handwashing is more recommended. particularly when there are stains involved.
n0z3bl33d wrote...
hey guys. i don't kno if this has been asked yet or not, but how do you guys clean ur dakis? It's been posted several times on the board, but things get lost easily here.
So...
When washing, safest way is to handwash, use gloves if you have long fingernails to prevent your nails from snagging the fabric. You don't want to create a loose tear on such expensive fabric. Using normal detergent is fine. If there are any stains on it, turn it inside out because stains will sink to the bottom of the fabric. That will help you get rid of most stains.
If you happened to get humidity stains(Yellow patches), those are a nightmare and occurs with covers that have not been washed for a long time. Those have to be cleaned with Vinegar.

The Twins is definitely one of my favorite covers ever. And damn, if this thread is any indication, competition for the Cresta cover is going to be fierce. :PI WILL get 2 copies no matter what. You guys will win if you willing to throw 40k a pop though.
Bold words.
But I think I'm dropping out of this fight with that.
You're willing to spend almost $500 each for 'em??
Well, of the 400 odd covers I have 60% of them cost 300 and above. So yes, I'm willing to shell out that amount of money if needed.
AND DAMN, I want that new carnelian cover so bad.
http://stylus-inc.jp/hanamakura.html
So...60% of 400 is 240. 240 covers at $300 a piece.......
Are you going to tell me that you have spent $72,000 on dakimakura?!
If that's the case, dude, you could have put a sizable down payment on a house, or bought a Porsche!
Not really, a average home here cost around 300k to 500k(My currency which is 1 : 1.25 to the USD) here. And a car, well let's just say it cost double the amount of money then you would need to pay then in the US.
So no, even with the amount of money I've spent, I can't do shit. At least not in my country.

Thanks for the examination, guys. I had the same conclusion as well, but when Yokatta sent the mail saying it'll take seven days to receive at their warehouse after 29th, I was like, "I thought it was late May o.O?" I didn't send them that though, I just thought that in my head. Well, I would say it's a mistake on their part, and I mean if they have screwed me before, charging much more then I would have to pay for a couple of covers. I don't see why they would not screw up over something like this.

That's... amazing. Really, I envy you, I'd like having that much money to spend.
And I had my eyes on that one, too. Also one of that loli right below it here:
http://stylus-inc.jugem.jp/?eid=285
Well, I've collected covers for about 5 years now. It's not like I buy them very often.

I hope she does get a web order release; that would be awesome. Has Clesta always done covers? Well, not really, since his Last cover was Kanzaki Kaori from Majutsu no Index and that was the comic1*3 event 3 years ago back in 2009.
And even the previous one did not get a web order release. So I suggest not keeping your hopes too high.

Whoa. 2 and a half pages worth of updates on that blog over the time I was asleep...Could I try searching names on that blog with English? Like putting "Nanoha" in the search box instead of how it's written in Japanese?
EDIT: That Raika one is hot. Is it up already for order/preorder?
No. That won't work. Just search up the series name and you'll be able to pick up some sources that give it's Japanese name.
As for the Raika cover, you cnanot order it. It's a event exclusive.
And it looks like I'll be fighting some crazy war for 2 copies of it on YJA.I'm sure.>_>

Short of the usual Evening Call covers and such, there actually isn't much on the horizon that has caught my interest thus far. I'm looking forward to some of the Stylus Limited covers (the bondage loli, of course >_>) and the Cresta cover that unfortunately looks like it will be a COMIC1☆6 exclusive. I will pick up MugenKidou's cover. Not sure what else will appear. And what is the this Cresta cover you speak off?
I have prepared about 1k to handle the incoming onslaught of covers. Though I doubt that will be enough thanks to my 2 covers policy.

What's up with this newfangled ROG shit? D: I actually had never heard of them, but I'm not much of a laptop person myself, especially for gaming. I'm a firm believer that gaming should be done on a desktop. :DI like laptops because you can bring them around, and I need that since my Uni is starting Soon in July.
ROGs are ASUS line of gaming notebooks like how Alienware are Dell's line of gaming notebooks and desktops.
And seriously, with this kind of horsepower on a laptop, it's more then enough to compare to most high end desktops.
You need to right click and view image to see it properly.

Yeah, that cover has been out for a long time! But I wonder, Sep 2010? Re-print of this? If they do, that's pretty awesome but nuts at the same time!
And I can't believe both of you have ROG laptops... I wish I have one! Though I saw one at my local electronics store on sale for $1100.
And thanks Shashin!
Well, that was around the time where Sekirei Pure Engagement was still airing, the show aired during July. So Cospa reprinted it. Prior to that it was printed back where the first season of Sekirei aired which I can't when that was.
I'm using G73S series ROG. For something so pricy, it sure isn't very capable, I bought it like just like June.

How did you know?
My 2 evening covers will only come May.>_>

Though I'm new to dakimakura collecting, but in general, I do not like bootlegs. But as I'm nearing the end of Sekirei: Pure Engagement, I really want a cover, but it seems as though the only way I can obtain such an item is through bootleg. I think... Fuck those girls are so HOT!Don't know about the show in particular, so I couldn't suggest any good ones. However, I searched it up on the dakimakura blog, and at the very least, Evening Call is selling a cover of one of the show's characters now:

Cover that sold out really fast is up again: https://e-shoprussell.jp/yuz/index.php
If only they had a better close-up of Musubi. :[ But I was actually interested in this.

Something about Tsukiumi just...BLARGHFADJN!
Thanks for the help though! Didn't even know the link you gave me was on sale considering the fact that the anime was release awhile ago.
Have I been missing out a lot? Havn't the chance to be here thanks to my ROG Laptop's GPU dying on me.
Hmm, thats Cospa's Tsukiumi. Cospa has a habit of re-prinitng covers, but the last time I saw this was back in Sep 2010.
I have to say g fest comic covers would the worst especially if they come with the comic. Those things are huge. Fest mags are not thst bad though.

And good news, I guess. My Gasai Yuno Daki came in from China. Guess what that means...
That being said, I'm not sure I would mind too much if there was no other way I could obtain it...
That also being said, I haven't owned my first authentic daki yet, so I don't know the difference in quality first-hand yet...
It's 12600yen from that store (which is it's original retail price I believe) and yokatta quoted me 14,500yen to have them order it for me. Plus then international shipping and paypal fee on top of that once it does arrive. Shops that don't ship internationally work out so expensive with proxies ;(
Look on the bright its cheaper then smj anyday.whether ordering or auctions wise.
Imagine i had to pay the price of 5 kanus just to get 2 on yja.you got it for anice 10k.
