I don't think we have much of say in this right now but it would be interesting to start a converation with artists through fakku.
Here's my personal list of stuff I recommend and a list from /a/. If you're looking for something specific I can pick out some that fits.

About anime, I still watch more than 20 titles per season, as I don't watch TV anymore and more importantly I don't binge watch anime. So each day is a manageable 2-3 episodes with Weekends having more than 5 Episodes.Private life? Not so good and let's just leave it at that.
I used to do that before but now I've given up on expecting anything fresh, new or compelling from seasonal anime. You get maybe 1-3 mildly interesting series per year. I'm just glad Yuasa is still around to give me something seasonal anime can't.
Oh artists. Why are we excluding mangakas btw? A doujin mangaka isn't signed to any magazine or publisher, you know.
>Like many, most of the only hentai I see is online, and it never says who makes it. It's anonymous,
You can easily reverse image search to try to find who made it.

Had some issues figuring out who has self published but I don't think neither of these two has.

2017 has been a year for the english release for the big two (or three as I'd argue) anime films from 2016 and some other mediocre series that got popular for some reason. Oh and the adaptation of Made In Abyss.
TV series:
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2
KonaSuba was at the funniest for me at the first half of S1. After that it's good, don't get me wrong, but it has failed to capture that magic it did in the beginning. Sadly that continues in S2 however it does stay at a solid 7/10 throughout the entire season.
Owarimonogatari 2nd Season
The Monogatari series has been getting progressively better ever since Owarimonogatari S1 and I'm happy to say that S2 defies expectations further. S2 concludes a lot of the character story arcs that were introduced at the beginning of Second Season and it does so wonderfully. I just wished I wasn't spoiled beforehand or perhaps the reveal would have had a even greater effect on me.
Movies, shorts and ovas:
Koe no Katachi (2016)
KyoAni's adaptation is close to perfect. The auditory side of it particularly since it further texturizes the topics brought up in the manga. Definitely a highlight of the year.
Your Name (2016)
Oh hey, Makoto Shinkai, the hack didn't make a movie about nothing again. Your Name actually tells a compelling story despite its short comings. Pretty good movie overall.
Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni (2016)
Another post-Hiroshima anime movie, what makes this one stand out from the rest is its compassion and depiction of regular life during WW2. I think this one deserves to sit next to the classics like Grave of the Fire Flies or Barefoot Gen.
Ryuu no Haisha
A fun short story with impressive animations.
Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome
Not sure what I think of this movie yet however my first impression is a good one. I'm just trying to figure out what all the parts are about. Overall a fun story about finding and expressing your love.
Kizumonogatari III: Reiketsu-hen
The conclusion to the Kizumonogatari movie series and oh boy does it end well. The last fight looks like it was animated all in key.

I've used Fakku as a tool for learning English (from getting Es and Ds to being fully fluent) and met some of my most precious friends that I'm still in contact with 5 years later. So thank you Jacob for creating this wonderful site. I've already met a lot of fakkuza on my trip to the US and I hope I'll be able to go again to visit the fakku booth and meet more people.

I got expelled from college. What did you do?
I'm guessing nothing.
I think an intuitive way of doing it would be for the search engine to recognize the tags and create a color coded bubble for them. Green for added and red for subtracted. Then when a user presses space they understand that you can include more tags. Teaching them that you can exclude tags wouldn't be as obvious tho.

Do what you want with it, but really there's no other website that does what Fakku does and I don't mean that as a compliment I mean nobody else hordes all the hentai and only allows it to be viewed if you have an internet connection and a subscription.Crunchyroll? Netflix? Weekly Shounen Jump?
There's plenty non-hentai related sites that offer a service similiar to Fakku's and does not allow its users to download content from their site.

The entire series could fit into 8 episodes. The slow pace of it is intentional.
This existed before. There was a popularity section and one for controversial (though this one was filled with bara and Mein Kampf).
