I don't think I can bring myself to buy this one after disliking MW3 and Black Ops 2. I've lost all hope in the series. I'll wait and see the gameplay trailers to find out.

COD is a prime example of developers relying on what's safe instead of what is truly innovative.
Essentially, it represents the stagnation that will kill the game industry.

Coming from someone who plays LoL. Lmao
It's a game. Don't like it? Don't play it.

I never give up on anything, so as always I'll keep an eye out for reviews and gameplay videos and see if there is something that catches my eye

I'd buy it, maybe after seeing the gameplay trailer though.
I mean, look, at the end of the day, a game is a game, and I'm not really picky about it.

Except LoL decided against a pay for power style which for a F2P model never really saw before that moment.
It also is creating more ripples in esports than about any other game out there.
The thing is, if game studios focus more on what's safe than taking chances then it will create stagnation.
And that WILL kill the game industry. So it's not a matter of a simple "It's just a game." Cause you can only say that so many times.

You're one user I have no respect for so you don't deserve an actual debate. I'll just lay down some things for you and be done with it. Not to mention that was one of the dumbest responses I've ever received. You deserve every ad hominem mentioned.
1. That's wrong. You can buy rune pages allotting you more options than those with fewer pages and champions as well.
2. LoL is not in any way innovative.
3. Games aren't all about competitive esports. Some people buy/support/play games for fun. So what the hell does LoL "making a ripple" in esports have anything to do with buying Call of Duty because people want to and have fun doing so.
4. I'll say it's just a game as long as it's just a game. There's no reason that warrants me not to say it. It's just a point you can't work around. Deal with it.
5. All this talk of stagnation is horse shit. Not everyone wants something completely different or 'innovative'. Some people are content with/prefer minimal changes throughout a series of games. But you speak on behalf of everyone.
But I'm straying off topic into a pointless discussion, let this thread be for people that actually want to discuss the gameplay of this game and not the bitching of people who dislike the CoD franchise.

Are you seriously going to whine about LoL after you're the one who brought it up first?
Rune pages are purchasable with IP. You cannot spend cash to gain power in the game that you can't get with IP.
esports is something that will help the gaming industry thrive.
And no, it's not horse shit. Stagnation killed the gaming industry before and it will do it again.

1. That makes no sense. I was criticizing LoL from the get go. Lrn2comprehension
2. you have to grind for them along with the runes. Those who can cash out on 7 pages/champions can save the ip for more runes and champion against people who haven't had as much a chance to
3. So does buying games/consoles/accessories and dlc
4. Not really.
Seriously though, last response. You're scarcely worth the bother, as before mentioned.

He never said anyone was forcing him to buy it. I don't know why you thought that would be an appropriate response. It's like you're overdefensive fanboy who can't tolerate seeing someone bash on your precious Cawadooty
Activision's business practices...are something else. I would say that they give customers what they want, but that would be far from the truth. They see how much they can get away without losing a significant amount of their userbase.(hell I think it's still expanding, but for most part a lot of their userbase is content with this, even willingly defending it militantly like you)
Activision is entirely to blame though. The over saturated, uncreative market that sees these enormous sells figures trying to emulate their success.
I'm a bit surprised that you can already pre-order the game, even with little to no footage of the game actually shown.
As much flack as it gets the CoD series is optimized well, and for the most part gives people what they want, even though they often are the lowest common denominator.

I meant if he doesn't like the game he doesn't have to buy it? Also I wouldn't consider myself a "Fanboy" since I don't play much call of duty, but I do hate how everybody is complaining about a game they haven't even seen yet >.>

He complained about the Call Of Duty series and games like it.
And my complaint is that they're taking pre-orders to a game that they haven't shown any footage of.
And you I don't care if you're just "saying". He never said he was being forced to buy anything, there's absolutely no reason to state that unless you're being defensive(changing the subject).
[edit] I don't care about your edit. CoD discussion on a CoD thread should be allowed.
[edit2] If you don't like my criticism or any criticism you don't have to acknowledge it. Stop being so entitled.

I recently heard that only the new consoles would get the new engine. Which is fine by me since I don't plan on getting any games on next gen consoles for my PS3.

Another year, another Call of Duty. Why am I not surprised by this?
Unless the story is a decent alternative telling of MW2 as hinted, then it's a no for me. There are some games I won't be touching this year and this could be one of them until proven otherwise.
