I don't know how well this thread will do cause how badly the non-manga comics thread did but i for one am pumped over the new batman movie and i think Heath Ledger is gonna blow everyone away as the Joker!

I'm looking forward to it. I liked all the batman movies to varying degrees(some were pretty terrible but fun nonetheless). I think my favorite batman movies were the 1989 Batman directed by Tim Burton and with Michael Keaton as Batman(still my favorite actor for batman, very few agree with me though) and the latest Batman movie, Batman Begins. From the ad I saw, it looks like the Dark Knight is going to be similar to Batman Begins, which is fine by me.

I agree with you that the tim burton films where pretty awsome there the only ones of the old seris of batman movies that i can still watch the other 2 just suck! And micheal keaton was a great batman but i like christian bale just as much.
I don't know if you've heard but apparently Jack Nicholoson (the first joker) is really pissed off that they didn't ask him to return as the Joker in the Dark Knight! Like how self centered can you get and does he not remember that he was killed at the end of the movie!!! Besides we don't want a joker in his 60's anyways

Jack Nicholson on the left, Heath Ledger on the right!

I don't think Nicholson would be right for the new movie anyway. He worked great before but just doesn't have the right feel for the new movies.
Yeah the other two movies really were terrible. I still enjoyed them, but there's no way I can deny that they were awful movies.

No she's not that would just be too much if she was. I think if they keep making this series of batman movies and the Joker appears in a second one then she might be in it.
Also Two-Face is suppose to appear at the end to set up the next movie :D !

I found this kinda funny: 'Batman' no match for Hong Kong's pollution
Apparently there is a scene involved Batman dropping from a plane into the Hong Kong harbor, but they had to axe the scene, just because the water is so polluted they didn't want anyone diving into it.

Ya Hong Kong hasen't been kind to them, The film producers apparently asked the downtown district to keep there lights on 1 night for a scene and none of them did.

It sounds like Harvey Dent's going to have a major role in the movie, so there's no denying it's going to happen at some point in the franchise. Also, I think Aaron Eckhart will make a great Two-Face.

In a sneak preview at the chicago comic convention they showed a scene from the end of the movie where he is two-face!

well lets hope is gonna be good shall we ?? won't want to watch a boring dark knight movie: like the begin ?? (yeah is boring for me and i never watch it ever since)...

Well if you didn't like Batman Begins, then you might not like The Dark Knight, because it'll be the same style as the first one.

I think there gonna have a bit more action in this one then Begins cause they don't have to explain as much plot this time around!

batman begins was good so i'm looking forward to dark knight. i hope they're successful enough to eventually bring in catwoman and scarface and stuff but not robin. once they introduce robin it's over.

I don't know it deppens how they introduce robin if they stick to threal storie and robin's only 13-14 than it might work but if they pull some stupid sh*t like they did in Batman Forever than it all over!
