Asobi Ni Iku Yo

Cats and catgirls-related anime is definitely the trend these days. Introduce schoolgirls and catgirls from outer space clan in skin-tight outfits, otakus obssessed with ecchi fanservice will definitely take note... or it is just me?
Asobi Ni Iku Yo revolves around the life of highschool student Kyo Kakazu. While attending a memorial service for a member of his clan, he makes contact with Eris, a girl with cat ears, who claim to be an alien. What adventures and troubles will Kyo get into subsequently? Life is definitely going to take an interesting turn for him.
Once again, due to time constraint, I have not been able to look for related images or trailer videos. However, I shall leave a link to the official website:

Do check out the character designs. The images should give a hint as to how much fanservice will be shown. :D
Anyone else looking forward to Asobi Ni Iku Yo, which will be aired during the Summer 2010 season?

Watching because the manga isn't getting scanlated. Well, it's not like I'm expecting another Sora no Otoshimono. Cat-alien-girl's anime design makes her look like a wolf rather than a cat with how Holo-ish she looks like.

Will probably watch as this is the fanservice anime of the season I guess. They are always pretty good for my leisure time.
Thought the character designs are pretty nice.

As always Gambler, the animes you introduce are always interesting.
I shall be looking forward to this.

I wonder if any fansub group will be picking this anime title up?
I'm assuming that Ryuumaru or FFFPeeps might.
Well, I was pleasantly surprised by the first episode of Asobi Ni Iku Yo. The animation was nice, and the first five minutes were action packed, and made me feel like I was playing Mass Effect 2, lol.
Spoiler:
So, I'm going to keep on watching this series. :)

I came into the first episode expecting a lot of fanservice and the usual cliche ecchi stories of girls falls into boys life, and then romance ensues!
You could argue it's still basically that but I loved that they've added an intriguing story to it, a serious one that'll hopefully be worth getting into.
Although there was fanservice given in the first episode I still got good vibes off it all,, it gave me something I wasn't expecting at all and has a very interesting premise, the animation was pretty good as well.
I'll be keeping an eye on this one to see how it evolves.

Just finished watching the first episode and I'm left wanting more. The fan service isn't as bad compared to other anime out there (*cough Highschool of the Dead). So far so go. I plan on following up on this anime and seeing how all these characters develop as the series continues.
What do the rest of you guys think? First impressions?

I did not have time to access the internet much this past week, but I am glad to see that Asobi Ni Iku Yo is living up to the *cough* fanservice *cough expectations of everyone. :D
Unfortunately, I also think said title is under-subbed. :(

It's mainly because Crunchyroll licensed it
well, horriblesbus and Commie subs, has done they're usual jobs of subbing any anime that's been licensed by them.
if you don't like them, go for Team Zebraman (TMZ)

Well, it's not like I'm expecting another Sora no Otoshimono.Looks like I may yet eat my words as Asobi has become my favorite of the season as of episode 2. If this was any other anime, it would have taken 3 or even 4 episodes to get through so much material.

Got Megane?
While I did like the first episode, roughly based off character designs and the way the characters seem to interact atm. I found it a little too confusing, just seeing all the other groups etc, and trying to figure out whats going on, I am sure (hopefully) this will all be cleared up (to an extend at least) within the next few episode. I am looking forward to see this series from start to finish.

I agree. This anime so far has been a pleasant surprise for me. The animation, music, and action sequences are all top-notch, and I'm digging it so far.
Spoiler:
I'm also interested in Eris's fellow aliens, and learning more about them, and I am looking forward to next week's episode!

Man I'm confused whilst watching this anime, not because the story is confusing but it feels like it's building up and delivering at least a half-decent story. Instead of something thrown together like all the other harem ecchi series.
It's because of this I'm enjoying it so much, I'm getting a semi-decent storyline with some fanservice with huge mother-fucking beams of sun light, what more can you ask for?

I wonder the same and yeah I thought the same too.
So now there's gonna be 2 more alien cat girls joining are main cast?
I am still kinda confused about this series, is it gonna go to random ecchi-ness, or will it do that while trying to add in all these different groups etc, cuz its kinda too late for one group, because first contact is now pretty much official. Still, I look forward to the next episode.
