Well fuck me I did not see this coming.

Heres the trailer if your interested.

So what do you guys think? I'm pretty damn excited, I felt Bioshock 2 was brilliant but unfortunately was bound to have that all too familiar feel, and wondered if Bioshock 3 was going to be set in Rapture, how could they escape that feeling of familiarity?
Instead they just went with a complete change, from the guy who was originally behind the first game 'Ken Levine' who had no involvement with Bioshock 2. Looks like Bioshock Infinite is in good hands.
(However if the Little Sisters aren't in this game then I will rage and cry myself to sleep most likely.)

This is the BioShock of a floating city, of America in 1912, of a helpful damsel in semi-distress and of something called the Skyline.

Basically, business as usual, in a different setting. I'll keep my expectations low.
Also, they'd have to not know what the fuck they're doing if they were making a another bioshock in rapture.

This.
I don't expect much. It'll probably be the same gameplay. Hopefully, they'll actually do something different.
Here's hoping that they'll do a decent reboot like Modern Warfare.

I'm really looking forward to this. Bioshock was amazing and Bioshock 2 was pretty good, but it never captured the magic or the feeling of the original for me. Now that we're going into this blind once again with not knowing anything about this "Columbia", I think that they can bring back the magic. Even if they don't and everyone says it's sucks I will still beat it.

Ken Levine has worked on three of the greatest games ever in Thief: The Dark Project, System Shock 2 and Bioshock. I can but trust.

I sort of saw this coming but didn't think they would actaully do it.
I thought we have a city under the ocean a city in the sky would be the next step only problem I thought of was that a city in the sky isn't all that scary.

This game is gonna be broken because it has infinite in the title.
That aside, I hope they add a new spin or something because playing the same thing kinda gets old fast.

a lot of the original people from the first game are back for this one. I shall see. I didn't play the second one.

I'm much more excited for this one than I ever was for the second. I haven't been able to finish the second one(got 6 hours in only to find that Windows Live is a bitch that wouldn't let me save and haven't gone back since), but it just didn't suck me in like the first. If they had gone back to Rapture again I'd likely not even bother playing at all.
Gameplay wise, I'm not expecting much to be different. I just hope that the girl's AI is half decent and it doesn't drive me nuts to have her around. The skylines sound like they might be interesting to use as well... we'll just have to see how things turn out.

it looks cool but i dont know why the hell its still called bioshockMaybe because the name has nothing to do with the content and setting? "Bioshock" is mostly referring to the result of introducing Plasmids and the results of playing with people's biochemistry. This game will likely have many of the same themes(the girl's powers and the main character using Telekinesis for example).

I'm hoping that Crow power ign talked about isn't like the bee swarm, since it sounded pretty bad ass. I'm hoping we don't just get copy and paste jobs for the powers up but just with a different look.
Here's hoping it's not only the environment they give a change.

It's called Bioshock not because of the plasmid premise etc, it's called Bioshock for Marketing purposes. At least that's the real reason it is called that. The game will sell better with the word Bioshock on the box.

Wow, just watched the trailer, and just to say.
I am impressed. I got a little bored with the underwater theme. I won't say I hated the theme cause I really enoyed the underwater theme. But now they are taking us to the skies, I am diffenently looking forward to seeing where this will take the experince level.
