Steins;Gate

Spring 2011: Steins;Gate.
Steins;Gate is set in the summer of 2010, approximately one year after the events that took place in Chaos;Head, in Akihabara.
Steins;Gate is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.
Looking forward to see this since I didn't have a chance to play the visual novel, so hopefully the anime will be good.

The trailer does a better job at what the visuals really look like than that promo picture. I heard how deep the story can get so I'm interest in watching.

this anime interested me because of the fact that sending texts to the past?! that sounded cool to me, but the more I hear of the story the more i want to see this.

(FYI, chaos;head the anime was just bad, compared with the original VN)

I only watched the anime of chaos;head, I thought it wasn't bad, except its corny ending.

Well I was going to reply to you Kaimax though like Hentanize, I've only seen the anime and I also agree with the ending not being that brilliant. Although overall I enjoyed it.
I'll have to check out the VN. Although do you know where I might be able to read it to if you don't mind me asking?
I just watch anime more than anything else tbh.

You can find the Visual Novel here: https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=9773 I also created a video on how to install it in case you get stuck.
Back on topic, like Hentanize, I thought the anime was alright too, just ending had me go "meh" (and on top of that, Takumi not developing any balls till the end, lol); but it was watchable. I'm having some hope for this, but I'm not expecting Gold.

I've read about the first six chapters of the manga, and Makise Kurisu is amazing, so it's a much watch for me.

Thanks for the link. I'm still getting to know where everything is on fakku. I'll be sure to check it out in the next couple of days. Thanks again :)

Watched it, and it has everything I like. Animation is gorgeous and the characters are really interresting.
But most of all, the plot looks so intruiging, really awesome!
I'm already digging hard in my head for what could possibly be the explanation behind the text mails and Kirisu.

This seems pretty interesting, on my to watch list. Could turn out pretty great.

I'm hoping for a good anime like Chaos;Head was. I think some people had problems with the whole sword thing, but the mindfuck story was great enough to overlook that with ease.

Nope, Nothing is wrong with the swords, the anime just failed to convey the VN perfectly.
Anyway, they're really pacing this forward lol, the VN was much slower at start.

Aw, well then ignorance is bliss cause I didn't play the VN. So I'll also have to take your word on Steins;Gate, but so far the main protagonist is an awesome dude.
I'm a little turned off about the "texting" theme, but so long as it focuses more on time travel and sci-fi, etc I'll be good.

One of my most anticipated shows of the Spring season has finally begun airing, and I definitely was not disappointed.

This is why I'm hesitant to watch Steins;Gate. Luckily, I played the Chaos;Head VN before watching the show, but I wouldn't want a shitty adaptation to ruin this series for me (if the game ever gets a translation/I learn Japanese (lol)).
