The Walking Dead

A new game from the developer Telltale Games, The Walking Dead is based off of the graphic novel, which also inspired the hit AMC television series. Other games created by Telltale Games include Back to the Future, The Sam & Max series, and Jurassic Park, which is still in development. There's no news on the gameplay, but a single image of the game shows that the art style would stay faithful to the graphic novels rather than the TV series.

WOW that looks good. Call me a lolicon, but I'm always a fan of stories where you have to protect this little kid or somewhat.

The comic is good; I hope the same will hold true to the game.

From what I've seen, Telltale Games takes good care of their titles in that they always stay true to the source material. Sam & Max is a notable example. Their game series carries the same dark humor and sharp wit that the original comics had. Jurassic Park looks like it's coming along nicely too, as it keeps the same themes that the first movie had while tying up loose ends from said movie.

Seeing that it's Telltale Games that's developing it, there's a chance you'd be better off reading the comic, instead.

Usually games based on movies/tv shows are sub-par but this game so far is very good.

First off I like to say that I really like the voice acting in this game, especially Dave Fennoy as Lee. The Art/Graphics works well but sometimes the faces kinda look funny, at least to me. Gameplay is kinda like a point and click with some action elements put in, while the dialogue options give it a very interesting tune. (Though sometimes it doesn't give you enough time to read all the options before time is up.

Has anyone played episode 2 of this? It gets pretty messed up near the end....great game so far even if the *gameplay* part of it isn't too good.

Episode 3 is out, so many tragedies in this episode. I really want to quit because we lose someone I really became attached to, but the ending drew me back in.

Bought this game at the Steam Summer Sale, just got around to playing it. Soooo good. I'm still working on Chapter 3. I'm glad Telltale is making a "second season" of The Walking Dead, because they've definitely hit the nail on the head. Way better than the TV show with its slow pacing and boring characters.
