[Anime] BTOOOM!

We had "Accel World" followed by "Sword Art Online". And coming up next will be "BTOOOM!", another anime title adapted from its manga counterpart, featuring a virtual reality theme (yet again). :D
After some research from various sources, the storyline of "BTOOOM!" focuses on Sakamoto Ryouta, a 22-year-old NEET. Even though Ryouta is an ordinary person in real-life, he happens to be one of the top players in the online game "BTOOOM".
As the storyline progresses, Ryouta finds himself mysteriously transported to a tropical island, whereby he discovers that there are fellow human beings, but unexpectedly, almost everyone is out to kill one another! Can Ryouta find his way off the island?
All right, the above doesn't sound like the typical anime title which Gambler would be interested in. The female protagonist, Himiko, as protrayed in the following manga images, changed my mind. :D
The covers of the tankoubon volumes resemble the boxes of Xbox360 games, which amused me quite a bit.

The manga is surprisingly good to me. And they managed to keep the manga's design for the anime too.

Manga is pretty good and bloody, hopefully they'll make some good stuff out of it.
Then again, some scenes in the manga were a bit too... bold?
though I hope even those will get past the censors. :D

The only thing that made me interested in the anime is the title, and episode 1 was a blast!a BTOOOM!, you might say.

Other than that it looks interesting. I always wanted to see trap based combat. Out witting the enemy with little resources and using the environment to gain just a little advantage over the next guy. Also, I saw rambo on the next-ep preview.
