A Certain Scientific Railgun ... the anime !?

Bleh. With Kuroko pushed to the background, ep 3 failed at being funny as well as dramatic/surprising. To make things worse some sort of plot is indeed beginning to raise it's ugly head, making me doubt I'll be able to take any of these characters seriously, no matter what occurs.

I'm just saying that every single arc in Index was more thought out than eyebrows painting esper. At least for me. Maybe it's caused by the fact that I didn't follow Index during it's airing period, but got through the whole show in 3 days, so I couldn't get pissed after weeks of waiting.I didn't get pissed at Index for waiting (like with every other anime), but because of shounen speeches and a mess of a plot (Hello there, Angel's Fall!). My ability to enjoy Index was in such a state of flux, that I feel like I must have a masochistic side to have been able to finish it. Each arc started great, then dived into disappointment, then came out with an adequate or BS ending. So, even if Railgun fails at my favorite parts of this arc, at least it will be more consistent than Index.
Also, for once, I feel like I'm the only one who's been reading the manga.

right now i just consider this show to be a fun take of index, much like fumoffu for fmp. in that aspect i can enjoy it, since i only expect this to be amusing. although now i'm seeing that they want to bring a plot into it which could ruin this...

Even Kuroko gets some glory moments in it, which is pretty surprising.

Kaimax
Best Master-San
IMO, these fanservices really degrades the whole "Upper Level" arc.. they even haven't shown were Mikoto fights "you know who" and lose.

I'm not taking this series seriously at all. Given J.C. Staff's poor record in making TaMnI, taking this series as actually having a coherent plot may be dangerous. So far, the series is a riot and I'm enjoying it.

Episode 4 was just great. Truly Touma and Mikoto interactions at their best. Besides it had a chainsword, once you add that the whole episode is automatic win :).

I really like Saten now, despite how little she appeared in the episode. The episode was also a surprise since the preview from before indicated filler.

That's what makes Misaki Mikoto our biribiri. She was so damn cute this episode, especially the tsundere part, "Arienai!" STOMP*
And Touma's too much of a nice guy, but I like that part of him. The Touma x Mikoto interactions are nothing but win, like FlareKnight mentioned.

Ep 4 made up for the previous, epic loss performed by Touma. That was the funniest shit ever.
