[size=12]Japanese: Air
English : Air
[Basically the same]
From the author of : Kanon and Clannad
I bring you the Air series
Synopsis :
Yukito Kunisaki is on a journey, seeking a girl with wings who flies in the sky, as mentioned in a childhood tale. During this journey, he settles down in a small town, trying to make some money. There, he meets a strange girl named Misuzu. Misuzu quickly makes Yukito her friend and invites him to stay with her. Yukito decides to stay in the small town, and continue searching for the winged girl his mother had searched for in her life.
Too short to make full use of the story. Awesome overall mood and audio-visuals. The characters really grow on you witch makes it very tear-jerking when certain events unfold. Very slow and careful with it's pacing
A must-watch if you like the genre or other works by those creators.
Amazing...this is even Better than kanon IMO... Cooler Main Character, Awesome girls, Perfect Audio-Visual, Amazing Plot, and a Complex Long Timeline....Love it... so does the VN...
If you don't understand what's in the spoiler it's for good reason.
Now for the anime in my opinion it basically went downhill and fast at about the 6th episode. It just doesn't do justice to the Key name that I have come to love for giving in depth plot and understandable turns and twists and not just random powers supernatural occurrences.

Though it did have depth, I do have to agree that the series started falling apart at episode 6.
I think some people give it too much credit just because it was made by Key. But that's my opinion. Watch it and form an opinion yourself. :)
At first I was like not bad, but then as things took unexcepted turns, I ended up buying the rest of the dvds and watched everything. I'll have to say it was pretty awesome.
I thought the anime was pretty good. It did make me sad at the end when
Spoiler:
Misuzu died
but overall it was good, except for the crappy stuff that happened in the japanese medieval times thing.that plain sucked. I definitely like Kanon (2006) and Clannad better. I wonder why? (rhetorical question)
I like Air and Clannad. But I can't get past the old-looking style of Kanon. I'm probably gonna be missing out on a good story but I prefer my anime to have a certain level of artistic goodness. Love the Piano scores though. Got them downloaded off of boxtorrents and they help me get through the day.

The old-looking style of Kanon is the Kanon 2000 one. Kanon 2006 looks a lot better. You should check it out in case you're thinking of the wrong one, or maybe im the one who is wrong and K2006 does look crappy :?
