In Valverave The Liberator, with the rape scene then how quickly they changed the lead male character's love interest.Infinite Ryvius spoiler...

You mean the Valverave characters? Oh yeah, they're all pretty forget-able except for Renbokouji Akira, she's a NEET and is afraid of the outside world but has some pretty good character development.

I have to wonder if that has to do with the possibility that she might be the most relatable character for the writer and a possibly large portion of the audience, giving more scope and perspective from that position. From what I saw (didn't finish the series) of her, she Frau Koujiro from Robotics;Notes were very similar. That personality type, hikikomori type, seems to be becoming bigger.

Since i finished the series up to season 2, i can agree that she has developed as a nice character throughout the series but there are a lot of character WITHOUT development like kyouko and the delinquent guy (pilot of the yellow one) and there are more characters that are just kinda felt "flat". Though i rated this anime 7/10 since i never really hated it.

Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! It was one of the few animes I've watched where I was simply bored shitless by it.
Play the visual novel. So much better and funnier, plus it won't be as much of a mess like most VN-to-anime adaptations where they merge all the routes together or something.

                        Vividred Operation episode 1
Totally not a ripoff of a ripoff. It's the fastest I've ever dropped an anime; seven minutes and thirty seconds. That's when I realized it looked all too damn familiar. Gave me a physical headache when watching it too, no joke. Speaking of which,
Strike Witches
Formulaic as all hell first season, uninteresting characters, villains with no purpose, plotholes out the ass. I tried watching it three times now and I just can't do it. Dropped at episode 5 or 6 because the formula got old and I couldn't take it anymore. It's getting a third season...I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
Gantz
Easily solvable problems and bland characters. The only thing going for it is the on camera sex.
Hyouka
Mysteries were uninteresting, the characters were bland, and I hate, I hate, I HATE Chitanda. Dropped at episode 7 when they ended the first mystery
Index Endymion somethingorwhatever
I wanted more Index and instead I got an idol concert. Halfway through the movie I stopped, read the sypnosis, and discarded it from my hard drive.

Accel World, not because the main character was fat, but his attitude about it and the world around him was just so stupidly irritating.

Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi - I dropped it after he rejected Madoka. I remember thinking that he was an ass in that episode. =__=

For me it was shinsekai yori episode 8. The kids are shown three years later to be mature and all of a sudden there are yuri and yaoi couples everywhere like a gay orgy, turned me off so much I deleted it.

Sword Art Online, when Kirito reveals he can dual wield like it's some super amazing unique thing. Honestly, that was the straw that broke the camels back. Couldn't take anymore after the forced drama and emotional manipulation from that one characters death, the time skips, the harem building (almost dropped it during the female blacksmith episode), the lack of focusing on any aspects you would think a anime about a MMO would focus on. Glad I didn't waste any more time on it since I've heard it just gets worse.
I wish I had dropped Tsukihime, but I watched it all. What a snoozefest. I've heard it's a terrible adaptation and the VN is amazing, but I don't care.

One more near drop, but it was already at the end of the series so I watched the rest anyway.
I was really annoyed at the ending to Shiki. For a large majority of the series, we see this small rural village in Japan be terrorized by these vampires that recently moved there. You just know they are gonna finally discover what's happening and fight back, it's really tense throughout. Then the village finally starts to defend themselves and... the villagers are portrayed as the villains. What a bunch of fucking bullshit.
Now I prefer when characters are more grey than just good and evil, and like it when monsters or androids or what have you are shown to be more than just inhuman, but this was too much. It's trying to make a heavyhanded statement about how the vampires are living creatures and deserve to exist and that we humans are the true monsters because the villagers kill all the vampires in order to survive, but that's what the vampires were doing but worse! It honestly disgusted me, and I never get offended by anything.
Fuck Shiki.

Zero no Tsukaima- abusive tsundere main heroine cannot tolerate no more
Suisei No Gargantia- When the main guy save some people from a town/ship from pirate, the leaders of the town blame him for pissing off the pirate group who would later seek revenge. (I maybe hasty about dropping it but god damn just because the town was able to avoid mostly/tolerate the pirate problem doesn't mean they are not a menace that won't cause trouble for others with hardly any gratitude for the main guy)
