I gave the first episode a try but the animation is just too awful. There's no shading and not nearly enough frames. I won't be able to watch this after all. Maybe I'll try the manga someday though.

I don't know about the few of yous guys who are done with the show because of the art, but for me the story is enough for me to forgive the art and enjoy the show. At least its sticking pretty close to the manga. I will say though they seriously might as well have had the show be live action.

I only just watched the first ep. Weird art but I can live with it by the story grace. Gyo was the same weird art.

It might have been pretty good with live-action, but the animation sticks with me because it accentuates the uneasiness of the story, thus adding to the dark psychological tone this series has and that the story needs. That's my opinion though.

Also, has anyone else seen episode four yet? I think they're doing it well.

Well... the art is weird but hey i seen a lot of underground art... story is tight. I should read the mango...

The manga was exhilarating but I can't seem to get into the anime. Rotoscoping has made Nakamura look like a 30 year old man, with the only easily recognisable character being Saeki and even then she looks different. Really wished they'd stuck to standard animation- the story doesn't exactly need 'unique' animation to make it stand out more anyway...

I only torrent the anime for the sake of listening to its audio while I read the manga. Gives it more feeling than that train wreck of a rotoscoping job.

I tried watching that anime a while ago, the art style is strange, sort or realistic but features are very obscured. But you have to love each episode and how it is 5 minutes or story and 10 minutes of footage of street signs, roads, and houses. Seriously, what the fuck? I'm trying to watch that shit and get into it but that kills my boner in only seconds. Just straight lagging it by spending a whole 45 second scene to a still shot of people walking and then complimented by some shots the main character getting his ass pushed around because he's a little wanker. Also I've somehow watched every episode and enjoyed it... What do you think?

So, it failed and tanked as expected.

BD release was canceled 2 days before the date. Nico2 only confirmed 52 per-orders.
Another anime that experienced this was "Shangri-La", which canceled releases due to the low number of orders. Only releasing the full box set months later.

But the funny thing is, I'm currently being flamed in MAL for stating a fact. lol

Another Shangri-La? Woooooooowwwww. I expected it to turn out bad, but not quite that badly. Also, stop posting on MAL, Kaimax. You might just get irritated again.

and watching them flaming me with their foaming mouths, is hilarious because I only stated a fact. lol

I didn't think it was all to bad for a wannabe indie art film... even though it not.
