I just ran into this show few month ago and I have to say....it is fucking awesome.
ths humor is just great and there are allusions to all animes.

and the OP/ED just rock even if there are some weaker ones below them.

I've known about Gintama for quite a while, but I've never tried to read it or watch it. I never felt really inspired to, I suppose.

What is it, exactly? Action or comedy? I understand it may be a mix, but one's gotta be more of a focus than the other, right?

I bet you've already seen the ninja 5 vs 5 ninja saving Elizabeth arc? That's one of the most hilarious episodes that made both my throat and stomach hurt from laughing! (I believe it was ep43-44) - and actually, there's so much more to remember! (from the funny, tear-jerking, action-packed moments, and etc)
I've already seen up to ep96 (just earlier today) btw.

The most hilarious anime I've ever watched. First episodes were kinda meh tho. The new year's episode is the best.

I haven't watched it again since Jubei's arc because they haven't subbed it at that time. How far is it going now hermit?

well I actually I like all the characters of gintama a lot especially gintoki, it will continue watching it until th end don´t worry.
mostly because there is also an interessting story about gintama as well, i am really interessted in gintokis past.

and as for 5 vs 5 ninja elizabeth ....JUMP SAMURAI, but well my fav episode so far is the one where al of them a fighting about the flesh in that nabe called thing....CALL ME NABEKING

Every character in this series are indeed very likable and very funny in their own unique ways. :lol: esp Gintoki(Sugita Tomokazu), of course. It's simply hilarious each time he and Kagura singles out Shinpachi. And due to the fact that there's just so much that I've already seen, I'm having a hard time trying to remember the NabeKing episode that you've mentioned. Would you care to remind me? (I want to recall it on my own but I really couldn't remember the details) :lol: - was it the ep where they battled it out in eating sukiyaki? (deathnote style) :lol:

Another thing that I'm truly looking forward to is Gintoki and Takasugi's duel. They still haven't clashed swords up to what I've seen which is ep96. 8) - that's gonna be awesome!

Gintama Anime to Continue for Fourth Year

My thoughts:

This Gintaman OP is such a waste, the first few seconds into the Song is really nice, also in the middle it suddenly changed into Dragonball Z. Although I sounded like I am complaining, I am not.. Gintama is one of the best Anime I had ever seen in the past years of my Anime Life

I've seen 112 just moments ago and the show just keeps on... well, the show is still going on like crazy all the time. (Katsuratama!?) :lol: How else should I describe this series, it's very entertaining in all sort of things, in a lot of different ways. What's special about it is that every episode/arc always leaves me "feeling-good" and this episode should prove to be another testament to that. Oh, and belated Happy Birthday to Katsura, whom I believe should already be in his late twenties. :lol:






PS: Don't remind me of episodes 104-105... I fear that I might get overwhelmed with sadness again. Solitude has always been a topic that I'm very weak against. (I'm immune to anything that's related to Naruto though)

Gintama is and will always be my #1 anime 8). I hope it does keep going on and Happy Birthday! Katsura.

Hmm.. My Favorite Episode so far is the "Ride with the Wind" Delivery Girl (Forgot which episode, but its only 15 mins)... Its head-on hilarious, they even change the opening by a little, if u notice that.. :D

Oh, The Zombrows is also funny...
