[Anime] GINTAMA -- 'It's Not Over'

What episodes have you guys last seen; where exactly are you at? I've just finished up to 112 episodes (currently at season 3) as mentioned in my post above.

@Yorozuya: Why not share with us some particular episodes that you really liked? It doesn't have to be all about hilarity. There's so much more to Gintama aside from pure comedy.

I left off at episode 109, haven't got to watching the rest of it yet. And I loved it all, but if I had to pick specific parts then I would have to go with all the serious parts in the series. One for example would be the Benizakura Arc, here's a pretty cool AMV of some things that happened in it. Lol and that one that you said was your favorite I liked too, lol playing a bunch of games that made no sense at all.

I'm so dreadfully behind Gintama ever since my hard drive crash... I must take a note to pick this awesome and hilarious series up again when I have a chance. The humor, puns, antics, and plot is simply up through the roof.

And you gotta love the bondage-loving ninja.

After I commented on the Hayate no Gotoku post and said something about Ginatama, I was like, wait minute~~~does anyone watch Gintama? I don't see any post about Gintama here. So I checked the list.........I am so glad I found this post!!! THANK YOU hermitVI. I thought no one here watches this awesome series. I love their inside jokes very very very very much. They give me an "Osan" feeling when they talk about philosophical stuff, which is so stupid but so true. Damn I love Katsura-san

That body diagram reminds me Ep. 109 where Yamazaki is ordered to be the undercover Jyouishishi. There is also a similar diagram when "Jackie" enters and introduces nose is the vulnerable spot of human being. And Goushyojin sama jyanai, Katsura de su~~This character is really funny

Its been a while since agood ol' Random manga like this is made. Thought if it's badly translated the pun is horrible.

It ain't exactly just about any "good ol' random" manga-to-anime adaptation my friend. Plus this series has been going on for a long while now.. it's nothing new, really; the manga has been around since '03 and the anime since '06. And still is going strong with already 29 total volumes and 170 episodes. In other words, this shit is awesome!

They are going to end the series at episode 201. They have not finish the arc on kamui and the guy with eye patch. Maybe they will still continue.

glad someone besides me are feeling this way because of the sudden ending of gintama.
last week when i watched it straight at tv tokyo,i can't help to get rage because of it.
I TOO BELIEVE GINTAMA'S NOT OVER YET!!!
even though what kind of stunt sunrise gonna do at the movie next month.
today i saw the trailer at cinema and they did great job.
but,is it gonna be enough for gintama fans that have followed for over 4 years?
just wait.

and my favorite episode is the yagyuu arc episode where gintoki,kondo,tojo and bimbokusai got stuck in toilet without any paper.

I pucked up this series a week ago and I'm relatively pleased with it. Glad to know they're far from done with 201 episodes.

i just watched it today.
it is the same with the benizakura arc in the series but much greater.

sunrise did add something in it.

this is what's new in the movie.
don't open it if you don't want to know.
Spoiler:
-the movie begin with the Warner Bros logo(yep.they're real) and the usual BG only.
-after shinpachi tell them to get serious,they Rewind the Warner Bros logo(lolwut?) and shinpachi begin the long time ago narration.
-after that narration got stopped,they REWIND(WTF?!) the logo once more and reintroducing themself.gintoki=cool,kagura=cool,shinpachi=only his glasses.lol.
-started with a new scene where gintoki,katsura and takasugi still in their childhood at their school with their precious teacher.
-hijikata,sougo and kondo discussing how to stop takasugi(while kondo is training in the nude)
-when they offer elizabeth strawberry milk,they displays the milk which it is sold in usual stores in japan.
-when bansai(otsu's producer) went to space pirate harusame's HQ,kamui and abuto is there.
-after gintoki stabbed by okada nizou,he dreams where he was brought by his teacher into school and played together with zura and takasugi.but after that,he dreams takasugi stabbed him with benizakura.
-when elizabeth throws shinpachi sword and tell him to hurry,there's a cannon coming out from elizabeth's mouth.
-when gintoki and zura fighting the amantos,the new DOES song begins and there's more bloodbath in there.
-at the end,shinsengumi is too late to assist them.
-kamui and others are on their trip to yoshiwara (the next arc?)
-after credit,the next Gintama Movie Trailer plays.the Shinsengumi Arc(when this trailer plays,all the girls in the cinema screamed of joy) but to bad,IT's A FAKE!
-then all character who didn't appeared(sat-chan,madao,baka oji,etc) and demand they have to be the next character in the next movie.
-the Warner Bros(appeared in suit but got letter W & B on their face) said they're being decieved by SUNRISE to actually believe Gintama is the number one samurai animation in japan.they said they should have make the other series to make movie(while holding Bleach and Naruto manga and gintoki says but that's abou deathgod and ninja,not samurai).then Warner Bros leaves them.


at the end
shinpachi :"gin-chan,what are we going to do with the anime? we already ended it."
Gintoki : "don't worry.because the adventure has just begun".
shinpachi :"but it is already begun"

so probably because the series still continues in manga,the anime will begin again!

why would i joke about this?
i just watched it in cinema yesterday.

and because it's just showing all around japan,it'll take 6 months to be able to DL.
the longest would be a year.
