Spoiler:
They let a VA cover Kisaragi Attention for the montages or when Momo was running, and it was pretty good. I think this episode was a bit slow and probably spent too much time with Momo and Kenjirou. Regardless I like the exposition, especially the bit about the Kisaragi family and the Shinigami Record lore after the credits
.

Oh my god Momo you are adorable but there must be something legitimately wrong with your brain with that kind of test mentality..

For future reference, put what you say about future episodes in spoilers. This applies to any post in this section of Fakku's thread.

OT: Episode 2
Spoiler:

I also feel like Momo was a bit too focused on, but none the less I am content with things so far. I just hope the story picks up some in the future because I feel like things are too sporadic at the moment and that the focus will be loss.

I will praise the Kisaragi Attention rendition, it was done very nicely and I also love the monster tale at the end of the episodes, I think the artwork and telling of them is very nicely done.

I'm going to continue to watch how the series progresses, but I am a bit on gaurd with the whole thing, since I fear that this way of telling the story will leave the audiance with more questions then answers. I don't mind the usage of imagery in essence of Bakemonogatari since the same people made that anime, but I don't like how heavily they are relying on the art from it. A little less and more originality could go a long way for this to improve.

Read the manga which eventually confused and bored me. I'll watch the anime to see if my feelings for it change.

Watched the first two episodes and they were pretty good. It screams SHAFT a bit too much but it's not that hard to overlook. I have as much questions about the series as the next guy- I've only listened to the songs and read the manga a bit. Looking forward to see how things will turn out.

I also heard that the ED was sung by IA's voicebank, so that's pretty cool.

p.s. Asenshi is dumb.

Im guessing the blurays are out on 6/24.

I think that was poorly done for the Mekakushi dan intro episode. The anime is beating around the bush too much, I feel like the episodes are trying more to meet the time tables with it's drawn out animations, now quite annoying because of Shaft's persistence in trying to make still-frames interesting, rather than make the time worth watching.
Spoiler:
I felt like the scene where Momo and Marry petrified the terrorists was underwhelming, they should have put more effort into showing that they were petrified.

12 episode limit, it's looking grim.
Spoiler:
Worst case scenario the anime will cliff hang somewhere around Takane's death and reincarnation into Ene (hopefully the transition from current to past day will go well, but seeing how that's all flashback it's going to be a dubious reproduction), which means viewers will be left without any real answers and get a bad impression of Kagerou Daze. A truly lamentable outcome.

The only difference between using Mekakushi Dan and the English versions (Blinded Gang, blindfold gang, etc.) is that Mekakushi Dan is more common and recognizable in the anime community. It's just easier to use since most people will know what you are talking about.

EDIT:Someone post episode 4 was done decently and I want to grace it with an entire post.

That wouldn't go well, the cat is abnormal and I'm not even sure if it would make a difference.

The Soraru cover of Heat-Haze Days, it's been about a year since I've heard it but I still remember it. I still prefer Vocaloids but these covers are fine.

Spoiler:
Hiyori was a bit too bitchy in this, pretty off putting but hilarious how she dumped Hibiya for Konoha. Hibiya is going to enter mellow mode soon and it's going to be far more preferable to him being Hiyori's toy. Meh I felt like some scenes were underrepresented like Hiyori falling without a splat, or lack of the iron beams being loosened before falling on her, the actual passage of time in the loop as well as the importance of the date and so on. Otherwise I think the Heat-haze loop was done splendidly with it's usage of symbolism and that Hibiya's last words were awesome.

Hibiya's love for Hiyori is so strong that he recorded her voice, took many(secret) photos of her, keeps the most beautiful one in his bus pass, and made a doll of her, completed with a voice button
What the fuck? Seriously what?

never read the source material but i've gotta say i like how this series is going. all the pieces are coming together in a way that reminds me of baccano.

also, loving the covers LiSA did

This anime is throwing out all my pessimistic predictions and it's wonderful, frankly I'm afraid to dream but a story like Kagerou Project is worth betting on.

Fucking Camping Bastard, doing his 360 quickscopês and shit.

Finally got caught up with the series and overall it's been good. At this halfway point I would give a personal score of 7/10. I had to take off points for some things;

Spoiler:
Too much relation to bakemonogatari art style. I know they are by the same creators, but they could have toned it down some (the later episodes are doing just that so maybe there is hope yet).

The story is very dismembered and a bit ambigious. For people like myself who have kept up with the vocaloid MV's and have read the manga it hasn't been hard to understand the storyline, but there are those who could find this to be a bit confusing. Such as with the latest episode "Headphone Actor" there is a lot of context that is in the manga series and clarifies a lot of what is going on.

Other then that I give this series good merits on the artwork and character voice acting. The music renditions of the original songs is very nicely done and I have loved the extra side stories at the end of each episode.

I hope that this series doesn't leave us with more questions then answers, but we'll just have to wait and see!

Episode 7
Spoiler:
Never knew that what started out as confusing could actually make sense in the end. Of course, that's what shows with this certain concept are supposed to do. What were you thinking Oda? Anywho, god do I hate symbolism. I never get the message coming from certain scenes unless someone mentions it. I do like this show so far regardless. So Ene and Haruka were involved in this transformation into what they are. Their teacher could be a co-conspirator with the monster herself. Though the question as to why they were chosen, as well as the Mekakushi Dan members, is one thing that has yet to be answers. I can't remember if they did mention about how Ayano died, because I want to know how did she form the club. And the ending of the episode is pretty scary to be honest. Kano knowing that Haruka died left me wondering if he was a part of the whole thing as well.

Lost Time Memory, good stuff-even better stuff next episode. Exposition fest, probably for the best considering how people are probably still lost.

Spoiler:
I'm pretty sure that the clips of images during the Lost Time Memory montage was snippets of the bad ending. I think that's the only coverage of the bad ending they will do and I'm kinda disappointed but the bad ending would just drag on things too long when they only have four episodes to wrap up.

so far im up to episode 7, i think, and its pretty good. I dont know if a coherent plot is gonna kick in, but i really like the way all the characters are woven together, each one connected in some way to the next. I think ill stick with it. My only complaint is that watching it feels too much like watching the monogatari series.

Episode 8
Spoiler:
So there exists another dimension where only some people could enter and a few out those bunch that can only get out from there while obtaining some special power. I'm curious about the power the little boy has and whether is it related to the Heat Haze Day episode. And like WideEyedMan said, there were a few scenes in that ending credit related to Outer Science.

Things related to the Kagepro videos I've just watched so it may contain spoilers.
Spoiler:
I was curious so I decided to watch the video for Lost Time Memory, and apparently there's two(?) Shintaro and a supposedly altered version of Konoha who seems evil. They showed evil Konoha in this episode as well. I wonder if it's related to his disappearance. Not only that, I had this crazy theory that the other Shintaro could be the Shintaro from another dimension where he have not met the gang. I might be wrong about this though.

I've also watched Ayano's Theory of Happiness along the way and I never knew that the teacher was Ayano's father. Can't wait to see how Shaft will animate this one. Will probably watch the rest of the videos if I got curious again.

Probably the worst montage. Absolutely hideous 3D, the montage scenes had a disconnect to the lyrics, the best part is missing and I feel like the scene was there just to follow the theme of "we need a song every episode". On the other hand everything else was pretty damn good with much needed exposition, people who are confused with the series should be set on the right track now.

^yup, i felt gross watching that opening sequence, please let me not see that again. if that wasn't a budget cut i don't know what is considering the way better quality of the rest of the episode (those black and white stills were very well done)
