Looks interesting, not to mention all the gushing about it in the thread... Guess I shall read the manga then.

Looks like they started out from the middle of the story. Probably they want to introduce characters ASAP, since Kirie appeared at chapter 4, and they probably think that's too slow for a 12 episode anime.

Sigh... They added Kirie early. Does that mean that we don't get to see...

Starting from the middle doesn't mean there won't be flashbacks.. lol

Yuuko is adorable. A lot of people keep mentioning the manga and how the anime starts in the middle. I might read that as well.

Oh baloney, half of MAL have no clue what they're on about and the other half are too busying trying hard to be elitists to contribute productively at all. Very few from that community have anything worthwhile to say.

Adaptations are bound to cause disputes, imo this isn't the first time I've seen an adaptation developing a deviance from their respective origins, I only hope that the rest of the series doesn't differ too much.

Episode 1:

The first episode was... okay, it didn't really have the punch the first chapter of the manga did. Still, it's just as good as it's source material, just not as suspenseful.

Well, to see UTW doing this, I'm kind of glad.
And the anime itself in 1st episode is pretty funny too.
I'm expecting a flash back in Episode 2 though.

I think someone at the broadcasting station switched the first two episodes by mistake... unless Silver Link is going for a Haruhi thing with the episode order.

No, that's just normal for something like Silver Link.
The 1st episode is an obvious "get to know" introduction episode before the start of the main story, showing all the main characters and personality.

Unfortunately most people can't get used to the idea.
Their adaptation with Baka Test was unique but no one complained about it, but with this they complained like hell, even though there's nothing harmful. That just shows how some people are just manga fan boys to the bone.

Haruhi was a chaos of episode disorder but everybody liked it, Baccano was a chaos of timeline but everybody liked it. But just one episode that's not in order for this and people starts flipping tables... FACEPALM

I haven't read the novel, but I have no problem with the first episode, it kinda primed me a bit for this one. Gotta say though, I had to re-watch that chase scene a few times, I got a good amount of shits and giggles from it :)

It's a manga original, still ongoing in Monthly Gangan Joker.

and there's the none readers who complained too much about fan service and they have a problem that the style is similar to SHAFT. In fact the director Oounuma Shin WAS from SHAFT ohh the ignorance.
