I have 20 tb of animu plus a lot of bd/DVD I haven't cracked yet. Also accel world be releases... waiting on funmation or internet with a high seed... ;15 hours needed off a 60 seed torrent with 4-500 mb connection. I can wait... just a archival purposes only thing.

I don't know if I should post this here, but I figure it's as good a place as any. Just saw the Kanon OVA,

it was pretty funny. It was sort of a non-sequitur episode, but was a good refresher about the Anime's humor. Elsie is just adorable. So, Season 3, here we come!

Two things: 1. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. A great beginning to the season. And 2. That said, they seem to have rushed/skipped quite a bit as far as I remember, as I don't remember Kanon getting stabbed nearly that early in the Goddess Arc in the manga (although it's been a while since I actually read that part, so it could just be me). Whatever the case may be, I stand by my first point, that this was a good first episode.

I read that they showed 70 chapters in about 7 minutes.

I concur. It was a very good episode. As far as God Only Knows standards goes.

^well, the manga is pretty slow paced so i wouldn't blame you if they ran through so many chapters, but i loved the anime's way of getting introductions out of the way and getting straight to the good part

i wonder if they'll finish the goddess arc. judging by this rate, it's a definite yes - awesome

i would love to see the time travel/setting up arc but it has yet to be finished

and, where's the end card illustration that they usually use for previews!? i'm disappointed if they throw that aspect away

70 chapters...? Holy fuck o__0 Well, at least at this rate we'll definitely finish the goddess arc, and probably go into the time-travel arc, assuming the pace remains the same. Problem with that is, though, because that arc is not yet finished in the manga (and probably won't be by the time the anime ends), they'll have to *gasp* make an anime-original ending *far-off scream*
But we'll see.

Just marathoned season 2. Kinda hesitant to start season 3 though, since i just found it skips a bunch of "conquests." Thank i might marathon the manga tomorrow to get caught up to where season 3 starts.

so just watched ep 1

So apparently the Goddess's power increase with love, so if he had sex with them, how powerful would they be?

Might have to watch the OVA's though to understand some things though, total forgot about them. As it seems Terin plays a big part in the beginning but I don't recognize her.


Also needs more Firetrucks

Well, if there's anything this episode has taught us, it's that Keima is one smooth operator. Seriously, he gets shit done, and does it well, too. Favorite harem protagonist ever.

The other users were not joking about the anime adaptation rate. If you have read the manga, it felt like 30 chapters were covered in the first half alone. That said, I can't wait for the Shiori and Yui conquests. Its important that BL does not occur in the librarian.

i really wanted to see the scene where keima commented on his and haqua's night bathroom encounter.

"Don't worry, I don't recall seeing your naked body" in true noncaring badassery

i also wanted to see the scene where he confessed to haqua in order to practice before trying on the other girls

"It didn't look like a confession, it was a confession"

but hey, if we can actually finish this long arc i'll be satisfied

edit: reskimed the manga and i'm understanding why we need this pace: the goddess arc is longer than the first two seasons combined. SPEED

It's just simply the longest of all the arcs and the one responsible for TWGOK major popularity.
From chapter 144-189, foreshadowed by Tenri's arc which has 9 chapters.

If they want the "skipped girls" arc back, then they need another full 2 cour'd seasons, which is not possible since the DVD/BDs didn't sell well enough.

So, this season is more of a straight gamble, rather than prolonging things with uncertain reception, they're just aiming for what the fans want the most "The Goddesses arc". Now it's up to Manglobe to make sure they'll do a good enough job with this.

I don't really know how they are going to end it.
The "Goddess" Arc is kinda divided into two Arc I think. The wiki separated it into:
- The Old Conquest Arc 114-168

From Ep 1 to Ep 4, the covered chapters were up to chapter 139. BUT!!

Seeing the end of Ep 3 and the start and end of Ep 4,
Did they just....

eliminated the existence of Fiore?


I'm sorry if I missed anything on the season 3 because I've been skimming all the episodes. I want to watch it fully after they finished the season.
