[Anime]New Sailor Moon Anime (Summer 2013)

Usagi's voice... ugh. I could take her ditzy personality just fine before, but now it feels like they spaced her out more and that voice actor... really good at it I'll add... enhances that perception of "simple minded". This feels like it's gonna be hard to watch.

The transformation has some sharp points, which I like, but there's too much contrast between the low and high, for me. Example, the texture and lighting in her clothing versus her face... it bugs me. Even without that, it'd still bug me how easily they switch in and out the very heavy cg. But, I think, I can get used too it, I'd just prefer a consistency in this regard.

My nostalgia wants me to like this very much... but I really feel like this is gonna be a push every time I hear Usagi's voice. This'll be hard to get used too for me.

I think I figured out one of the reasons I don't like the voice as sailor moon, she sounds "exactly" like Mihoshi from Tenchi, to me... In every way I can think of, I hear Mihoshi when I'm not looking at Usagi.

I absolutely loved the first episode. Usagi's voice doesn't make me wanna kill myself anymore and she's no longer an unbearable brat like the original anime made her out to be.
I liked how Ami has already been introduced and I'm glad this series will have little to no fillers. It's great that they're following the manga, in my opinion it will mean the anime is more mature which should appeal more to the fanbase who are now older.

The CGI was out of place and it spoiled the transformation scene though :c
But still : way better than the original/10

I was suprised to actually enjoy the first episode of the rebot. I was nervous I would be picky, but there isn't really much for me to complain about. The art style is pretty well done, espically the details they put into it. I am so relieved that Serena isn't as huge of a bitch as she was in the original animation. Luna's voice is cute. Mamoru is hot!! (*w*)

The only thing I don't like as much is the cg transformation scene. Not a fan of it and I think animating the scene normally would have been better. Just my opinion though.

I can't wait to see more of this!

I am pleased with how it turned out.

They're staying true to the source material so far and thank Christ they gave her "Moon Tiara Boomerang". All I can say is good job Toei, you've captured my attention. Next episode will be Mercury's introduction and, if it goes right, Mars will be introduce in the third episode.

I think sailor mars' transformation is the coolest so far and I also like that they stuck to her being more mature . Doesn't look like Mako chan (jupiter) will be making an appearance next episode which sucks, I'm so hyped to see her transformation

Definitely a way better introduction for Ami. The timing was good and her bond with Usagi was much better paced than being half-ass rushed. A good example of that is the arcade scene. The background for Mercury's transformation was beautiful.

I can't wait to see the rest of the Senshi's backgrounds. The only changes to this episode were Ami not being put into a choke hold and Sailor Moon not doing her "Sailor Moon Kick" attack on the monster.

All in all, it was a good episode.

The introductions and feels for the Sailor Senshi are way better than the 90's one by far. Usagi's concern for Rei's back story made me respect her more. This reboot is sticking to the source and I don't see it failing anytime soon.

The sad part is the next episode won't be the introduction to my favorite senshi. Looks like I have to wait a whole month for her arrival.

Also, Jadeite's death was glorious just like the manga.
