Speaking of the new OP,i just hope that it could be half as great as the old one.GnY seem just too good to be replaced. With the popularity it has gained, I can't think of a new OP that can top it, it's just too damn good. I'm certainly going to miss watching it from now on.

Just started watching this anime and caught up to ep.13. As it stands right now, it's a freakin' GOOD watch. Might need to read the manga to get a bit ahead of this anime.

You know, ever since I watched the show, I feel irritated as how many people look down on Eren. I mean, he's got the most real human reaction a hot-headed stubborn protagonist could have. Lots of other people think they can take on that reality if they were him but I clearly doubt that.
Rant over. Moving on, the show seems slow paced but still that ep 13 made me shout "GO!!!" and I really haven't done that in a while. Didn't felt that way when watching sports anime.

People feel annoyed by hotblooded protagonists because they prefer people who know what they're doing than people who represent pure emotion; like how people prefer Ezio over Connor in Assassin's Creed. I find Eren childish in the recent chapters but easier to relate to. The way they adapted Eren into anime is amazing, it's exactly like Misaka have said it: pure anger of humanity. Of all the main characters, he's the one who wants freedom from the walls and titans the most. Everyone is thinking about their own circumstances and their goals is somewhat circulated around the titans, Eren on the other hand directs his energy towards them. Bottom line is, there's something about his reckless bravado that makes the series stand out. It's like we are witnessing the beginning of a legendary hero. Maybe in the last chapter, 2000 years later(as a reference from the first chapter title) his story would become myth, like the epic of Odysseus. A god born from Titans, who slays his own and liberates humanity from their boundaries.
