I agree, a cute ending, and somewhat emotional as well.
Lotte kissing Naoya on the forehead, and confessing her love for him (so cute)

And yes!! for an OVA - maybe even a Season 2 if it sells well on bluray and dvd.

As for episode 12, I quite enjoyed it. The first half really tugged at my heart strings and I felt tears coming up both when Asuha and Mercelida were talking about the fireflies, and of course, when Lotte and Naoya were on the ferris wheel. It was so cute when Lotte finally admitted that she loved Naoya and swiftly kissed him on the forehead.

I almost thought that the anime was going to stick with the bittersweet ending, but then I forgot how Ingrid was. I was very glad that a portal was made, and I'm guessing that Naoya is either going to be just staying in the monster realm, or is going to be going back and forth as needed. I did feel bad for Mercelida not getting her kissing, though.

Overall, this anime was surprisingly heartwarming and I enjoyed it a lot. I definitely wouldn't mind a second season and I'm going to be checking out the manga now as well.

I thought the ending was pulled off very well, especially for an Anime Original End. It promoted a sort of "gentle sadness". No excessive crying to be found either. Goodbyes were said tearfully, but also cheerfully, and they moved on with a sense of nostalgia ... until of course the World Tree was able to be opened again. So I think this anime wound up doing the manga version a good deal of justice.

I'm a little late! xD I'm only on episode 7 or well actually finished it today. But episode 7 was really sweet! At first, the first episode didn't really pull me in until the end of the episode. And that's where I started to fall in love with the anime. I normally delay the hell out of animes I watch and end up not finishing it, but this one is something else.

It really helps this anime to know that the voice of Naoya is Misaka Mikoto. I always imagine her in some of his dense lines or embarassed lines.

Just finished the series. The ending definitely left me wanting some more. I'm glad I stuck with this series, if I dropped this I probably would of regretted it. Glad to hear that an OVA is in the works!
