Basquash!

Who ever would have guessed that this series could get so highly dramatic. Oh I'm just loving everything about it. It's finally heating up. Seeing Dan's improvements/maturity and the way he simply turned his back to Slash and walked away after shutting him up, Legendary Epic! Finally, we're heading towards the new frontier.
As for the new OP and ED, I still need another episode to completely adjust. I'm not saying that they ain't as good as the first, it's just that I've quite gotten used to hearing them every day of the week, especially "nO limiT".
The new OP entitled "Boku ga Boku no Mama" by THE SPIN, reminds me of a similar sounding J-band/artist whom I couldn't exactly remember. Music was up-beat, fast tempo, fitting, but I couldn't really say that I like it. Sequence, a bit of mix between old/past episode clips and new things but was insightful overall and not too much "spoiling". It's very nice to see Rouge in it as well, particularly how she somewhat overshadowed both Miyuki and Flora. She, being the closest girl to Dan also bodes well for its significance. There's also new characters to watch out for and expect more drama, as indicated.
The ED song was sung by Eclipse, entitled "Futari no Yakusoku", which is definitely a good thing. Sequence and song wise, there's nothing else that I can ask for. Nothing special, but good enough. I guess in the end of evaluating them, I still prefer the first ones an awful lot better.
Here's an image of Rouge in place of the 13th episode OP & ED which I can no longer find. If anyone could help, it'd be greatly appreciated.

The next episode which is episode 15 will be interesting to watch...
Anyway seems like other versions of the first OP have been removed. This is the only best vid that I can find regarding episode 13 ED. There's the scene before the ED pops up that might be a spoiler to those who haven't finished watching episode 13...

I seriously hate not seeing this thread in the first page...
Anyway, if I get the right motivation, I'd further discuss the EPIC episode 15.
The wait for sub(s) was so fucking worth it but I certainly hope for such a delay never to happen again; it messes up my schedule so bad.
@Temcor: yeah, that's the ED that I've found once before, thanks.
@krimsonshadow: I really hope that you could elaborate more on your "Dan saving Rouge" speculation. I've long been meaning to discuss/ask you on that matter cause I just don't exactly get your drift. For starters, I like the fact that we could totally agree on Dan and Rouge's pairing. The thing is, I believe you're threading somewhat a different path from its plot from the "saving" part of your comments. Considering how serious/critical her condition is as indicated in ep15, what could he possibly do to help her recover, and fast? If by just being there could he save her through some sort of "miraculous connection/bond" that they've formed in the short amount of time they've been together, then perhaps it's all good. Problem is, I doubt something like that will ever happen. Not to mention that after all the troubles team Basquash had to face in the same episode, they've only gotten themselves (in basketball terms) "rejected/blocked" by a security system, meaning that they would have to take some detours which doesn't bode well for Dan's case of saving Rouge...
Well, I'll leave it at that. Hope you can enlighten me with your thoughts and ideas.

I think he means that he'd help her by bringing her, alongside his sister, to the moon because, supposedly they have a lot better medical care on the moon as stated in like ep 1 (can't remember which ep exactly).
On another note: I love Basquash! It's very original, containing very successful themes combined with awesome characters/character development. I just hope Dan will keep his maturity and mature even more - I found him a bit annoying in the first few eps tbh. It's a cool series that is worth watching by everyone.

Yarr, indeed. I would like to see that coming soon. They just match up together somehow. On another note: I love Basquash! How could you possibly have missed that? It was given right from their very first encounter. Eclipse came from the MOON and apparently have returned back to the MOON due to Rouge's condition. Dan also promised that he'll definitely meet her there, and nowhere else.
I never would have guessed that this video would actually come in handy. :)
Base on the subs and my knowledge of some common Japanese terms...
At around 1:46, Rouge mentioned "tsuki" which translates to "Moon" in English.
At around 2:02, Dan in return mentioned the word.
I could somehow translate their dialogue in that certain part but unfortunately, I'm not sure on how to correctly write those, word for word, in romanized form.

Hmm.. must have missed that then - forgive my ignorance ^^
But then... I have no idea what he's saying how he should help her XD

The slight detour seems to be taking a turn for the better.
And finally, I knew the NEW OP wasn't all just that.
Did you catch all the changes?
Sela finally meets her "match" -from the looks of it. :)
Dan never ceases to impress me with his growth and maturity not only as a "Basquasher" but as a whole being. Who would have thought that such words will come out from his very own mouth. It was believable nonetheless since he had managed to put himself in the shoes of Navi through his own experience with his sister, Coco.
While I've always wondered what's in it for Slash in all this "legend-building" stuff and why the hurry, I fuckin hate that conspiring retro-glasses manager of Eclipse from the very first moment that I laid my eyes on him. The only common denominator that I see from all of the hidden personal agenda is that mysterious league which Bubble-James personally setup on the moon, specifically for breathing life unto the Legend.
I was actually planning on posting a whole lot longer than just this but when I think about how I'm the only one initiating most of the discussions at this place... I can't seem to force myself to continue. If you look at my sig, you're not mistaken; This is my current second best anime for this year. That being said, I would have definitely posted a lot more if not for the very few users who bothered to talk back.
PS: I'm still concerned with Rouge's condition and on how it might affect more than just Dan in the latter developments.
Do remind me in case I forgot to mention something important...
Lastly, as Eden of the East is perched up comfortably at my top slot, Basquash! is most securely locked in second... unless of course they pull-off a complete turn-around, fade-away-360-dunk kind of finale and piss the hell off outta me (it's droppin down to third).

I would love to put more words to this post but as I see it, it'd only be moot at best. Nevertheless, it's still a great series and I'm simply loving every episode of it.

Just finished watching episode 18 and it seems like the basquash team is back on the road now with a giant on there team which by the way i find awesome! Also i find it interesting that sela has a crush on such a big guy, also in the episode i think she makes subtitle hints about his dick and not being able to take something so big but maybe thats just me reading too much into the episode. Anyways In terms of the villain im guessing its that creepy little fricken bastard with the glasses someone should defiantly kill him or something like that. Anyways i definatly considered about idol red as i like to call her and her condition and how hes draining crucical emotions from her in order for that glasses guy to speed up her recovery. Other then that the series continues to impress to no extent. Hopefully in episode 19 we see some sort of major plot development on the condition of idol red, and hopefully she will r ember her feelings for dan!
P.s- Awesome picture that you posted, heres a link for some more pics of basquash and the such including some +18 pics but i dont think it would be appropriate to post such pics in this thread anyways enjoy! ^^

Good Afternoon!
Basquash! has gotten better with each episode as they go closer towards Mooneyes.
That and there's something that has been bothering me with Navi witch I have an idea as to what it might be (POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW)
I haven't seen episode 20 yet, so if I'm right it was pure speculation.

Good thing you did get the AWESOME part down correctly. On a side note, I sure did love Slam Dunk likewise. Though having seen it for so many times already (fuck GMA7), I have simply grown sick and tired of it. Not that there's any similarity between the two series aside from basketball to further talk about anyway..

I have yet to determine his motives but with all the things that he did, I sure wouldn't mind him being disposed off; however it goes.

Every single broadcast and report concerning her well-being were most likely falsified as a part of that bastard's plot; even Citron and Violette were led to believe otherwise. It's safe to say that she's now far from worse although it was quite clear to me (as I've feared long even before they got back) that the bastard had more devious things in mind than simply stabilizing her condition... it may only have gotten worst!
Here's another pic that I felt like posting. Hmm, a lil less awesome than the previous one but still is nevertheless.

Episode 20 couldn't have come any much longer than this... Rouge!!!
Also, both second OP and ED singles should be released this week. Watch out for them!

Good Morning.
With all due respect to you Mister, that speculation of yours about Navi is somewhat next to impossible. You're simply thinking too much about something insignificant. As we both have seen episode 19, we must both agree that despite being more of a recap episode, it was quite symbolic for Coco and her newly-found "Basquash-ing" / "Basquatting" (whichever you prefer) ways. She has long been able to accept that fateful incident, which completely changed hers and brother's lives forever. "Moving-On" is how I'd sum up the episode and thus whoever exactly is responsible for what has happened is no longer of any relevance. Besides, Navi couldn't have been anywhere else but in that hell hole where Dan had found him.
Anyways, thank you guys for giving me an opportunity to discuss this series again. Heck, it wore me out in the process..

I meant to say on basquash "He hates the Bigfoot" and on the Slam Dunk "He hates the basketball"...lol sorry XD...
Maybe a little bit similar XD...Like "Dan is playing to go to the moon for his sister(to heal her leg)" and Sakuragi "Plays to win Haruko"...well something like that XD...then they play for the love of the game XD...
Edit : Im still on episode 15...XD

Just saw Episode 20 Yesterday.
It was an alright episode as it was more into the further development of Miyuki's character (Which was needed), but the true highlight was the last moments of the episode.
I still don't think that Yan is the TRUE villian, he seems more like the second in command to the main threat. His actions while cruel just doesn't really scream "diabolical" to me. On the other hand with one six episodes left, I really can't see them introducing another character as the "Big Boss" while giving the time to build up that character. I mean it took 14 episodes for Dan to change from screaming fool to sensible lead.
