ARE THEY STILL ON NAMEK HUERCO MUNDO?Seriously, what happened to Tatsuki? She used to be mai waifu; is she still being totally ignored?
She is being 100% ignored in Bleach. Same with a lot of characters.
Do you remember Kon? The soul in the stuffed animal that seemed like a main character? I don't think we've seen him in years!
Kon is in the new movie, like the entire movie!

The "lesser" characters always seem to crop up more in the movies. Just look at DBZ - that one Broly movie was the one of the only places that my beloved Videl showed up after her brief appearance in the main series (around the "Videl Learns To Fly" episode).
Man, it just makes me realise that for decades shounen shows have been making too many characters and then having the just amputate vast swathes of them at a time because they run out of space for them, only to briefly resurrect them in the odd movie.

Movies don't count. Anything can happen in movies.

I love bleach but i mean has anyone else noticed or been bothered by the lack of people on the GOOD side dyeing. No body dies. I mean in the latest chapters an stuff twice Ikkaku Madarame was close to dying an low an behold he out stood it. I mean it would never work that way were everyone somehow out lives there use. They need to start killing off some goo guy's i mean naruto killed off there characters an it seems like it got a little more intresting then it used to be. Lets start killing good guy's in bleach to extend the story.
Lets start a list of who should be killed.
I think ill start it. HanatarÅ Yamada is the first to go.

No... Not Hanatarou!
Well, it is a meme: Nobody dies in Bleach. Or any shounen for that matter. I don't mind; I see shounen plots like the storyline of a fighting game. It's all just an excuse for X to fight Y, little more.

All very true, but you just have to bear in mind that this is aimed at 15 year old boys. Expecting anything deep or worthy from Bleach is like expecting the next Barbie doll to rival Michelangelo's David.
It's just something to watch when you want to turn your brain off and relax. Like most TV, come to think of it.

If good guys died, the audience would be turned off. That's usually why it doesn't happen often.
Popularity is very important. Ever seen a villain who's turned into a good guy? Of course, we all have, and most of the time, when that happens, it's because the character was shown to be very popular. To increase readership (or viewership), it's written so that the character will make more appearances, and changing the person into a good guy is the easiest way to do that. Hell, most fans want it to happen. I've heard a lot of Bleach fans say that they want Grimmjow to help Ichigo, basically making him into a good guy, because they like the character so much.
I have to say, Tite Kubo did something really cool and had all the shinigami in Soul Society be bad guys that eventually would become good guys without it seeming strange, due to everybody being tricked by the "real" bad guy. It was a nice touch and shows that Kubo isn't a hackneyed author. But just because he's good, it doesn't mean that he can go against the wishes of his publisher. Shonen Jump wouldn't let him kill off a main character, unless it was maybe Kira or another lieutenant that has already had a good bit of action, because the fans of that character might stop reading. And seeing a weak character die isn't appealing. It feels like just a throwaway attempt at making readers think that the series is "cool" because someone died. So, it's a double-edged sword - either kill off a popular character and lose readers or kill off an unpopular character and seem like panderer who's just trying to make the series seem "edgy."

well they kill people all the time. i mean at least it seems that way. i mean just useless ones anyway. but i mean if someone stop reading because someone died they don't seem like a great fan. i mean it gives the readers something to be intreested in. like whats gonna happen. or depeding how they show it. who did it. why. I did like the soul society turning good thing kinda cause it was different. but it wasn't to hard to see coming. But i really don't think killing someone would turn someone off. Unless it was ichigo cause he is the main character.

People are only turned off when it's main characters that die, and it's understandable. If your favorite character in Bleach is Rukia, and she gets killed, are you really going to keep reading or watching the series? The main appeal, the character you liked the most, is gone. You might even stop reading out of sheer disappointment that she is dead.

I don't believe that at all. i mean if you stop reading it cause Rukia died or ichigo died or anyone else died. you don't care about the series only the character. if Toshiro Died. my personal favorite....I WOULD WANT TO FIND OUT THE ENDING.

Okay, well, you're one person. Other people have different opinions. And a lot of fans would stop reading if their favorite character died. Not everyone who reads Bleach is a hardcore fan who will read it no matter what happens.

Bleach is getting awfully close to the manga and has now gone back into filler. Hopefully it won't last for too long! But damn...228 was an incredible episode. Yamamoto is a huge bad ass! He doesn't play around with his enemy. 8)

I haven't watched Bleach since December because of the fillers. When did it start getting back on track?

The last arc was from episodes 191-226. So I guess that is 35 weeks ago that it started? 8)

Well 206 and on was filler. They started doing the past history and I watched that then they started another arc and I gave up. Did they start the huge ass battles between Aizen's henchmen yet?

Yeah, they only been teasing each other, but when I was nearly ending the 226 ep, I knew this is the last ep before ANOTHER boring filler... I knew that because they finally started to talk seriously... and another BIG break, and hell know how long it will take... Good thing that "Shippuuden" started with great action xD
