the insert song...anyone knows the title?

One would normally expect a great number of casualties in Krisna's side after all the constant buildup to this point on Athen's much superior technology/machinery (this and that) or whatnot. What's unexpectedly surprising however, is why even start introducing a character, and a female captain(if memory serves) for that matter, only to kill her off mere seconds afterwards; just to show how 'morale' works and affects the tide of battle? Problem is, who gives a rat's ass on whoever that bitch was -- not me, I don't -- rendering that particular event moot. How ironic though, that it/she(except her name) became quite memorable -- not for its actual intended purpose but for being ridiculously unnecessary.

Regarding that goofy general (most names in this series can't seem to register), I also expected him to go sooner rather than later, as good (yet insignificant) guys like him usually exits early in such stories.

And Girge is SICK! (both literally and figuratively)

Yeah, Girge is dead now. But his death's not as epic as the manga version. It's more like having bullet-storm inside his golem. Btw I don't realize that the place where Girge control his golem is coming from the head, not from the chest.

Of all the things they could have changed from the manga...Girge's should not have been 1 of them. Oh well at least Lygatto will go berserk in the next ep. I'm looking forward to that.

My feelings towards Broken Blade are the same as many people's feelings towards the Black Rock Shooter OVA. There is a certain amount of hilarity from watching a guy, who's mech is running out of operating time, fight a teammate rather than retreating or helping out his teammates that are having a hard time getting away. On the other hand, the action is very good, and there are fairly significant losses on both sides.

Damn they change everything beginning until last.. anyway it's good.. i wish there would be another movie for it.

And yeah, Girge's death in the movie is very disappointing. It doesn't have that heavy impact on Rygart. And Delphine's final weapon is fucking annoying.

It ended at a pretty decent part, although Rygart's brother showing up was incredibly convenient. The action was still nice to see even if the tactics employed were questionable as always. We need less screaming and monologue during battle though. Since the action was the best part of this anime in my opinion, there is little reason for me to read the manga, even if events were drastically changed.
