I just watched The Taking of Pelham 123 (John Travolta's still teh man!) and felt like having a chat with my brother and so I did. So it somewhat ended up in me asking him about the animes that he's been watching and turns out there's none at the moment. He then proceeded to tell me about his plans of checking out some upcoming anime adaptations of those mangas he had been following... shit, and shit, and that shit, and this; Deadman Wonderland was the one title he mentioned that caught my attention. And as bored as hell I am currently now, I decided to make it known around here, to those who don't know it yet that the series is gonna get its ANIME. As if making a thread of it here isn't already sooo obvious as to what... Fuck, now that's a story! (though highly relevant to nothing) Basically, I've got zero knowledge of this series yet so I just gotta say what I hafta say (or what I can) but whatever. Hearing its title rang my interest a bit. My initial visualization of it though turned out quite a bit different after looking at some image materials but not that disappointed overall. The premise still seems "twisted" (dark) enough for me to like anyway, so I'd surely be giving it a try when its time arrives. Also, the lead kiddo seems to be rather meek... plus the look reminded me of the boy in Eureka 7 (and yes, I think I know why); God knows how I hate such kids. ANN wrote...The story is set after the destruction of most of Tokyo by an earthquake and centers on Ganta Igarashi, a middle school student framed for the murder of his classmates. Igarashi is sentenced to Deadman Wonderland, a bizarre privatized prison that is one part incarceration and one part public spectacle for tourists. It's a bit dark, and after the first few episodes the quality lessens a tiny bit, but overall it's pretty good, in my opinion. Especially in the fight scenes, there was quite a bit of details animated in, not hidden offscreen to cut costs.

I do think there are some obvious flaws to the story, however. Like how nobody finds it weird a albino girl in a bodysuit running around the prison is weird, or how there's ye olde bar in the middle of G Block. There's quite a few things you just have to "go with" to keep the story moving.

That's pretty much simple to answer, as long as you have the cast points you can buy anything in the world. Deadman are allowed to do that except buying their own freedom.

About Shiro, you can say that because you're 3rd person watching the story. But for the characters in this story they probably think that she's just as "unique" as Chaplin, Hitara and every other "unique" deadman, and never bothered to ask anything.

Well, besides Ganta's crying, he wasn't that annoying in ep 11. Kind of lost interest in this series after the first few episodes.

I really do not like the nature of Ganta very easy to cry and be easily discouraged,we can not expect a lot of people are mediocre appearance and behavior, especially he is not a criminal
but for shirou somewhat amusing to see the nature and behavior of her every time

deadman wonderland has a very interesting story especially for the lovers of anime gore,filled with blood spills and filled with scenes of mutilation of the body
(can not imagine)
but what's interesting is the ability to control their blood as their weapon when fighting

I really, REALLY hope they do a good job with this anime, I'm a fan of the manga and own the first 4 vols. (DAMN YOU TOKYOPOP), and it's been pretty faithful so far, I just hope they don't go off in some random direction, or worse, FILLERS.
