Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko

I enjoyed seeing the introduction of the two new female characters, Ryuuko and Maekawa, and they both seemed pretty unique. I really like Ryuuko's upbeat and eccentric attitude towards life, and my favorite part with her was definitely her explanation of the helmet. As for Maekawa, she seems to be a flawed senpai character for Makoto, and probably will end up causing more problems for Makoto than providing him guidance.

As for Erio, I'm really thinking that she's not an alien. With her disappearance and disillusions, I'm thinking that she definitely has either schizophrenia or some kind of multiple personality disorder, (schizophrenia because they often believe that aliens/someone is out to get them, and MPD because her alien persona could be a split in her personality. I'm really curious to find out the trigger behind all this, and maybe I'm completely wrong and she is in fact an alien. Just have to wait and see.

i dunno if i'll be mad for whos responsible for his disappearance(could negligence of parents) or be sad on her condition/situation. She did that crazy stuff(wanting to be ET)just to prove her dillusions and attempt suicide?. I mean shes broken now! poor legs... I hope our protagonist will the answer on saving those LEGS!!

And yeah, something is definitely fishy with Erio. Is she a real alien? Is she just not "all there" in her head? I'm betting the secret of her living with her cousin "the transfer student" wi leak out sooner or later...

Oh boy, is Erio hitting most of my moe physical traits. Nice legs, bright blue eyes, and long blue slightly messy hair ... Also, those sexy lips ... every girl has them. And Sandwich Woman's ass ... and that massive moon ... and other things.

You know, with these weirdos we've recently encountered, I'm almost beginning to wonder if Erio has been speaking some measure of the truth. Sandwich Woman is particularly odd. A girl by herself in an alley and wearing an odd costume to advertise for something? I have a hard time buying that.

It is revealed by Meme that Erio has amnesia, forgot what had happened to her in her disappearance, and started to believe aliens.

I found the "I thought I could fly" incident was just retarded.

I thought she really was an alien until she had amnesia, and this anime is starting to turn towards the down point for me.

I'm not sure why you'd find the incident "retarded". After all, there are people in real life who hurt themselves due to their own delusions. Also, do you really need Erio to be an alien to enjoy the series?

Well, if Erio continues to behave like an alien then It just satisfies me more, more plot and whatsoever.
I don't want the male protagonist to actually start to pity Erio, and the story goes on like that. Just not my style.

that the anime will only cover the first three volumes. Also, those aren't technically separate "endings". Those are just Denpa's "possibilities" (or so I hear). It's something to keep in mind since stuff like that isn't canon in a sense.

I really wanted to this to happen. I just didn't know how much I wanted it before. Seriously, bringing the main cast all together right now was really great timing. It's interesting to note that the cosplaying Maekawa didn't have any friends before, quite possibly because of her cosplaying. On the other hand, Ryuuko has at least one other friend and probably some more in her club, and, as a result, she has to concern herself more with societal pressures. Ryuuko shows how uncomfortable she is around Erio and how unsure she is of her own feelings. Erio shows that she's making an effort and that when she is particularly bothered, she wraps herself up.

Another enjoyable episode, (especially with Ryuuko's declaration at the end), but I'm wondering something....

Did anyone else get the vibe that the dude with the bottle rockets is Erio's dad?

I was also impressed at Ryuushi's declaration, but I felt as if Towa still hasn't realized that she's in love with him. I had more fun watching Towa's 1 second of satisfaction after remembering the shower scene.

As for the strange man I never thought he would be Erio's dad, but he sure seems creepy if he's leaving notes to explain th sodas he's giving aren't drugged.....

I loved how you could start hearing sirens at the end. I was wondering how "legal" that rocket was. It was designed and intended as a weapon lol.
